Mr. Brandon Brazell » Week of January 22

Week of January 22

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a good weekend.

I'll start with sixth grade. We have a quiz today, on Lesson 3.6, small bodies in the solar system. In addition, since we are wrapping up Chapter 3, our chapter test will be this Friday, January 26. I want to make sure we get the test taken care of before Catholic Schools Week so that the content is fresh on the students' minds. After today's quiz, I will also be assigning a project. It is a research poster and presentation about a planet or object in the solar system. It will be due next Wednesday, January 31, with class-time to work on it.
In seventh grade, we have our quiz on Lesson 4.2 today. This lesson is the last lesson of Chapter 4, so our chapter test will be on Friday, January 26. Again, I want to make sure we take the test before Catholic Schools Week so that it's fresh on their minds. There will be a few smaller project assignments throughout the next two weeks that I will give more information about at a later time.
In eighth grade, our Chapter 3 Test is today. After the test, will be assigning a project which I am very excited about. This is a group project, creating a Rube Goldberg machine using the information about machines that we've been talking about in class. This project will be due next Friday, February 2, with class-time devoted to working on it.
In regards to Science Fair, their observations and data for their experiment is due today. We will be spending the next couple weeks discussing the Final Paper as well as filling out the data.

Thank you for your continued support. As always, let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Have a great week!
