Mrs. Powell's class was so excited to see that St. Nicholas left them a treat on their colored shoe when they arrived yesterday morning. There was even more excitement when they saw that he also dropped off their class "kindness elves"--Sparkle and Snowy! Sparkle and Snowy love when people are kind to others! Like Jesus, Sparkle and Snowy want everyone to spread kindness, joy, and cheer during the Advent season!

Yesterday in Mrs. Powell's classroom they made "Empty Tomb Rolls" out of marshmallows, crescent rolls, butter, and a cinnamon/sugar mixture. Mrs. Powell loves using this yummy baking lesson to help teach the story of Easter. She loves the visual of the marshmallow being wrapped in the crescent roll dough, and then disappearing when cooked to leave a hollow roll. As the children enjoyed their "Empty Tomb Rolls," she read the story of Jesus' resurrection.

The tradition continues! This week our kindergarteners put their hand prints on a column in the school hall. Hooray for the class of 2031!
