Religion - Chapter 1 test is tomorrow. Take the pretest at blestarewe.com. Study the Faith Words, the highlighted parts, and review the Chapter Review. You will be asked to write one way you can show that you are a child of God. Please bring your book back tomorrow.

Someone is missing 2 blue St. Julian sweaters. They are both blue. One has the white logo and it has the person's initials in it the other has the older SJS logo I believe the logo is red. Please look over your child's uniform sweaters and make sure they have the correct ones. It is easy to make a mistake and grab the wrong one since they all look alike.
Ask your child if their book cover is too big or too small. A few children need a different size for their SuperKids Reader.

Spelling - Complete the Backpack Page and study for tomorrow’s test. Backpack Page 1 will be coming home tomorrow. Since there is no school on Monday, you can get a head start on studying for the next test on Friday, 9/9.

*Tomorrow your child will be taking home a SuperKids Beginning of the year test. Please sign and return this test on the next school day. All tests should be signed and returned, except for the Spelling tests. Keep the Spelling tests when they come home.

Spelling - Complete the Backpack Page coming home and keep at home. Super e words are words that have a silent e at the end which makes the other vowel long. Continue to study for Friday’s test.
Math - Please complete and return the double sided Additional Practice page 1-1 coming home. A 100’s chart is coming home to keep and use when needed.

Spelling - A Backpack Page is coming home today. We are finishing up a warm up unit this week. After this week, Backpack Pages will be numbered. The first Spelling test will be on Friday. We will be having Spelling tests every Friday. Tests will be on Thursdays if there is no school on a Friday. This 1st test on Friday will be a Practice Test. Welcome to 2nd Grade!!
Welcome to Room 31! I am very excited to begin a new school year with your child. I hope you all had a relaxing and wonderful summer! If your child will be attending Extended Care afterschool, registration forms are coming home today. I get a copy of the monthly forms for those attending in Room 31. Room 31 dismisses from Door #8 (Touhy) at 3:05. Please bring a lunch to school daily. If you ordered Hot Lunch, it begins on Tuesday, September 6th.
