Spelling - Backpack Page 64 and study for tomorrow’s test. Backpack Page 65 will be coming home tomorrow to study for our last Spelling test on Thursday, 5/23. There is no school for students Friday, 5/24.

Math - Flashcards and pages 163+164.

Religion - The Religion books came home yesterday for the last test, Chapter 9. Take the pretest at blestarewe.com and you will be asked to write one way you can take care of God’s creation.  The test will be on Wednesday, May 22nd.

*Wed. 5/22 -  Preschool-2nd Grade Music Concert @ 9:15. Each 2nd grade class will be performing one song. 

*Thurs. 5/23 - Mothers’ Club Hot Lunch - McDonalds and Spirit Wear

*Fri. 5/24 - No school for students

*Mon. 5/27 - No School

*Thurs. 5/30 - Spirit Wear

*Fri. 5/31 - Last day for A.R. and it’s a Spirit Wear day (Last day of May)

Room 31 created Persuasive Speeches about The Best Snack.  The children will be voting on Friday to see which one wins.  The winning snack will be a special treat on Monday.  If you’d like to check out their presentations, here is the link: The Best Snack

Room 31 will be conducting a STEM project soon.  We are in search of any items that might help protect an egg from a fall. Please send them in next week.  I hope to begin this project on Tuesday, May 28th.  Some possible items might be:

• pipe cleaners
• popsicle sticks
• Tissue
• Rubberbands
• cut up pool noodles
• cups 
• Sponges
• Tubes (toilet paper or paper towel)

• twist ties
• Cotton
• Or anything else that you can come up with that might help. 
  

 

Please don’t have them work on this at home.  They will be working in the classroom and collaborating with their classmates.
