Welcome to Room 31!  Second grade is such an exciting grade to teach.  The chidren are anxious to make their First Holy Communion and they are becoming much more independent.  I look forward to a new year with new friends and can't wait to get back into a classroom routine.

Spelling - Backpack Page 57.

Math - Flashcards and a Home-School Connection letter is coming home introducing Topic 5, Subtract Within 100 Using Strategies.

iReady - 15 minutes of Reading and 15 minutes of Math by Sunday evening please.

Religion - Study for the test on Wednesday.  You will be asked to write one way you can be a more forgiving person. Study the highlighted parts, Faith Words, Chapter Review, and take the pretest at www.blestarewe.com.

Friday - Mothers’ Club Hot Lunch (McDonalds)

Math - Flashcards

Tuesday's Homework and Reminders (12-5-23)

Reading - Reread Backpack Page 53 aloud a few times.

Math - Flashcards and study the review pages coming home for the test on Thursday. The red pages that came home today are very similar to the math test. Study those types of math problems.

iReady - There was a typo yesterday regarding iReady. They should be doing 15 minutes of math at home and 15 minutes of reading at home, not 20 minutes each.

Thursday - 2:00 dismissal

Monday's Homework and Reminders (12-4-23)

Spelling - Backpack Page 52.

Math - The last batch of flashcards are coming home! Continue to practice daily. Timed-Tests will begin after break. We are reviewing this week for the Topic 4 assessment, Fluently Add Within 100, that will be on Thursday. Some papers went home today. Please study the pages 175-178 for Thusday's test. More will come home tomorrow.

iReady - Please complete 20 minutes of Reading and 20 minutes of Math by Sunday evening. I only see a small handful of students doing iReady at home. Please find some time for this at home.

*Friday - We will go to Church for the feast of the Immaculate Conception. No Mass on Wednesday.

Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is now open for families who are currently enrolled at SJS. We encourage any family who will be returning to SJS for the next school year to register now!  If you plan on not returning please also complete the form. 

 

Open Enrollment to the community begins on Monday, December 11th, 2023. If you do not complete registration prior to December 11th and a grade becomes full you will then be placed on a waiting list for 2024-2025.

We are anticipating classes filling up quickly!

Reminder: There is no yearly registration fee for current students!

If you have a new child that you would like to enroll at SJS please see below:

Returning families who have a child who did not attend Saint Juliana School this school year can register by adding the student's information in the above registration form. You can also request a new student registration packet at the end of the registration form. There is a one-time registration fee of $200.00.

 

At the time of registration for a new student, the following forms must be submitted for admission review; all are required and originals will be returned.

  • One admission application for each new student (use appropriate grade form).
  • Child's original birth certificate* with birth number.
  • Child's original baptismal certificate, if applicable. If your child was baptized at Saint Juliana Parish only the date of baptism is required.
  • Report cards from previous schools for transfer students entering grades 2-8.
  • Saint Juliana Parish envelope number, if applicable.

 

  • Preschool sessions (must be 3 years old by September 1, 2024):
  • Five full days 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • Five half-days 8:00 am to 11:00 am
  • Three full days (TWTh) 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • Three half-days 8:00 to 11:00 am
  • All children must be capable of independently using the bathroom and be able to dress themselves after using the facilities. No pull-ups or diapers are allowed.

 

  • Prekindergarten sessions (must be 4 years old by September 1, 2024):
