Spelling - Backpack Page 33 and continue to study for Friday’s test.

Math - Flashcards, study the review pages coming home, and practice counting various combinations of coins. The assessment on Money will be on Friday. 

iReady - 15 minutes of Reading and 15 minutes of Math by Sunday evening.

*We are working on researching an African Animal for the next few weeks. If you have time to look up some information at home, write it down on scrap paper. We are looking for: Description, Habitat, Eating, Predators, Family Life, and Interesting Facts.

Communion - Project 5 is coming home, making a doorknob hanger. Write the Morning Prayer on the paper provided neatly in pencil first and trace over in a thin marker. The Morning Prayer is, God our Father, I offer you today all that I think and do and say. I offer it with what was done on earth by Jesus Christ your Son. Amen 

The prayer is also written on the attached paper. The book will go home when it’s completed. This is due by next Wednesday, 3/20.

Dear Families,

     This Sunday at the 9:30 Mass in the church is the First Holy Communion Acceptance Mass. After the Homily, our first communicants and their parents will be invited up to the altar area. The children will say, "I do" when the priest asks if they are committed to preparing for First Communion. Dress code is regular Mass attire.

     I hope all of you can come.

     Also, First Communion forms and fees are due next week.

Communion - The Chapter 4 project is coming home and due by Wednesday, 3/13. Use the top paper as a guide. Use the white construction paper to draw and color the flowers. At the top write, God’s Word Takes Root in Us. Draw six lines and answer the question, What are some things you can do for God’s Word to take root in you? Some examples can be; help out more at home, be kind, be more responsible, etc…  Write your name on the front bottom right side.

Everyone is taking home some green math pages to study for the test next week Wednesday 2/28.  Yesterday, they took home pages 267-268 and today they are taking home pages 269-270.  Please review them.  Monday we will send home the red pages to review for the test as well. 

Spelling - Backpack Pages 21 + 22 (Snack Attack Recipe) and study for tomorrow’s test. Backpack Page 23 will be coming home tomorrow for next week’s Spelling test on Thursday, 2/29. There is no school 3/1 for students.

Math - Flashcards and pages 89+90

Communion -  We will be starting our Communion book this week. Starting today, there will be a project coming home every Wednesday and due by the following Wednesday. There will be 6 projects in total. There will be a directions page attached to every paper. Chapter 1’s project is to find pictures from magazines, newspapers, the computer, etc. to show followers of Jesus.  Please write, Followers of Jesus, neatly at the top. I suggest writing everything in pencil first to make sure everything is spelled correctly, and then trace in marker. Please write your name on the front bottom right corner. Chapter 1’s project will be due by next Wed. February 21st or you may bring in before then. Projects will be shared with the class and displayed in the hallway. Please take your time with all projects, spelling words correctly and writing neatly. These projects will be your grade for the next 6 weeks. We are taking a break from the red Religion book until after Communion.

*We will be talking about Baptism in Chapter 1 of our Communion book next week. If you have a picture of your child’s Baptism and it’s okay to glue it in your child’s book, please bring in a picture. If not, a picture will be drawn. Talk to your child about their Baptism day!
