Athletics
St. Juliana School belongs to the Northwest Catholic Conference (NWCC) and abides by league rules regarding player participation, which require that student-athletes be currently enrolled in good standing at St. Juliana School. Coaches are parent and parishioner volunteers, and all coaches are in full compliance with guidelines set forth by the Office for the Protection of Children and Youth
Participation Fees
In addition to student participation fees, concession stand revenue, and various fundraisers throughout the school year, the Athletic Association operates the Track-A-Thon each year as its primary fundraiser.

St. Juliana Athletic Association
The Athletic Association attempts to bring to the students of St. Juliana School a sports-related program in addition to their regular physical education classes.
The Athletic Association coordinates and supervises school-affiliated and intramural functions such as: basketball, volleyball, football, softball, cheerleading and publishes information about its activities on its blog. The Athletic Association has open meetings during the school year that will be noted on the events calendar. Interested parties are encouraged to read the current Athletics Handbook in preparation for attending a meeting.
FOOTBALL Open to all boys in fifth through eighth grade. Registration takes place at the end of the school year for the upcoming fall season. Practices begin in early August and are held at Brooks Park, weather permitting; indoor practices are in the Ahearn Activity Center. Home games are played at Brooks Park and Notre Dame College Prep in Niles. The season runs through late October/early November, including post-season games. |

CHEERLEADING Open to girls in grades third through eighth; registration opens in late August. Practices are held at school in the gym or outdoors, as weather permits. Cheerleaders cheer at all football games, home and away. |

BASKETBALL Open to students in fourth through eighth grade. Girls' registration takes place in August at the start of the school year. Season runs through early November. Boys' registration takes place in late October/early November and the season runs to mid-February, including post-season championships games. Teams may also be entered in tournaments sponsored by local Catholic high schools. Fourth-grade basketball is a weekend league and separate from NWCC basketball. |

VOLLEYBALL Open to students in grades sixth through eighth. Tryouts and registration for both boys' (7th and 8th) and girls' teams (6th, 7th and 8th) begin in winter and the season runs from January through March, including post-season games. The girls' teams may also participate in tournaments sponsored by area Catholic high schools. |

CROSS COUNTRY/TRACK Open to all students, boys and girls, in grades fifth through eighth. Teams are coed. Cross country meets in the fall, and track takes place in the spring. |

JUNIOR TROJANS We also host six-week Junior Trojans clinics throughout the school year in volleyball and basketball for first through fourth grades. This gives our younger students a chance to gain confidence on the court while we focus on fundamentals and FUN! No experience is required. |
