The Saint Juliana religious education program is looking for catechists (teachers) and substitute catechists for the 2024-25 school year.
Qualities
- a desire to share the Catholic faith with children
- a strength of character built on patience, responsibility, confidence, and creativity
- a basic understanding of Catholic teaching, scripture, and Catholic tradition. You will have the lessons in the textbook as a guide.
- honest and caring relationships with the age group being served
- experience and patience with children
Responsibilities
- Complete Virtus training www.virtus.org
- Complete Background Check and Mandated Reporter Training
- Commit to teaching 25 Wednesday evening class sessions from September through May
