Ala Carte Entertainment owns both Moretti's and the new Park Place (in the old Basta Pasta location) and invites you to use your Moretti's TRIP certificates at Park Place, too. In fact, your Ala Carte TRIP certificates can be used at any of their dining establishments.

Park Place has banquet space, so this is good to know for those First Communion and graduation gatherings.

Great news! Nonno Pino TRIP certificates are now available! They are being offered in $25 denominations and Nonno Pino's is providing a VERY generous 20% discount on their certificates.

The TRIP office, located in the Parish Center, will be open during the following times for your holiday shopping:

December 1 through December 23:
Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Friday: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM & 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

December 28 & 29:
9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Final order date for pre-Christmas delivery is Tuesday, December 8. Cash-and-carry only after December 8.

Weekly orders will begin again on Tuesday, January 5, 2010.

TRIP certificates will be available for purchase at the parish office between the hours of 9:00-10:30 AM on Monday through Friday. Pre-paid and AutoTRIP orders may be picked up anytime during normal business hours, as usual.

Please take note of the following alert we received from Great Lakes Scrip regarding JCPenney's policy change:

JCPenney Gift Card Advisory
Please advise your member families that very soon, JCPenney gift cards will no longer be accepted as payment on their JCPenney charge account. Unfortunately, it appears as though some stores are implementing this new policy sooner than others, so you should encourage your families to make their last payment as soon as possible. The JCPenney Gift Cards are still redeemable for merchandise or services and may also be used for jcp.com and phone-in JCPenney catalog orders for home delivery. The contribution on the $25 and $100 gift cards remain unchanged at 5%.

Due to the uncertain economic climate we are scaling back the amount of Barnes & Noble TRIP certificates we typically purchase in anticipation of the Mother's Club fundraiser.

Please pre-order your desired amount of Barnes & Noble TRIP certficates before Tuesday, March 24, in order to ensure you'll have them for the fundraiser on April 1.

Did you know that you can pre-arrange standing TRIP orders in advance, and have the funds automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account?

Available withdrawal dates are the 10th, 20th and 30th of each month, or the banking day immediately after those dates in the event of a week-end or bank holiday.

You can place a recurring order for just one or two of those dates, or all three. For instance, you might want $200 in Jewel on the 10th of each month; $200 in Happy Foods on the 20th; and $100 each of Happy Foods, Jewel and Shell Gas on the 30th. Alternatively, you might want just one order on the 20th. Certificates can be held for pick-up at the parish office, or sent home with a designated student.

AutoTRIP is a great way to ensure you never run out of the TRIP certificates we all use on an everyday basis. Sign-up sheets and more information are available from Lynn Gibbons in the TRIP office.

December 1 through 19 the TRIP office will follow its regular schedule.

December 22, 23, 29 and 30, the TRIP office will be open from 9:00 am to 11:00 am for cash-and-carry certificates only.

Giving gift cards for Christmas? Consider purchasing the cards from TRIP.

Some seasonal TRIP notes to keep in mind:

• During December, our orders will be placed on Mondays, instead of Tuesdays, by 10:00 am
  
  
• The last day to order TRIP in order to receive them before Christmas is December 15 by 10:00 am
  
  
• After 10:00 am on December 15, certficates are available on a cash-and-carry basis only
  
  
• Orders placed by 10:00 am on Monday should arrive by Friday, unless there are unforeseen circumstances beyond our control
  
  

Christmas is fast approaching and many students and parents will be thinking of little gift ideas for teachers and staff members. We are hoping to make your shopping a little easier by again offering a faculty/staff TRIP Wish List.

Beginning this week, faculty/staff wish lists are available in the TRIP office; an online list can be downloaded as well. Teachers have indicated the various establishments where they most enjoy shopping or dining.

We are not trying to solicit gifts, but simply offer the lists as a convenience to those who enjoy using TRIP for Christmas shopping. This is a great opportunity to give TRIP a boost and help parents who struggle with a gift idea for a special teacher or staff member. There are only three more weeks of TRIP sales before Christmas!
