Reminders:



The sixth graders will be responsible for putting up the barricades around the school each morning. This is a very important responsibility as it ensures the safety of all of our students. A letter was sent home with each 6th grader today to explain this process.



In addition,youngest and only students will be bringing home an important letter regarding Back to School night.



Students may still purchase assignment notebooks in homeroom for $4.00.



Homework



6th grade English- revised George Cowgill paragraphs are due tomorrow. Begin to look for pictures of artifacts for your projects. Projects will be due on Friday.



6th grade spelling- Finish pages 12 & 13



6th grade religion-We have been discussing our unique gifts and talents. Today we read 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 and discussed the meaning of the passage. There is no homework.



8th grade English- Vocabulary Lesson 1 is due on Friday.

Welcome to a New School Year!

Welcome to a new school year! I hope that everyone relaxed and enjoyed summer vacation and is energized and enthusiastic about the many learning activities that will take place this year.



The sixth graders can look forward to learning experiences and fun activities that will increase their knowledge and challenge their critical thinking skills. In addition, they will learn about setting goals and will be expected to accept more of the responsibility for their own learning.



Be assured that I will work diligently to encourage each child to do his/her best. I am looking forward to an exciting, productive year!





Reminders:



Every student is expected to have an assignment notebook. They may be purchased in homeroom for $4.00.



All textbooks should be covered by Monday.



Milk money is due Monday.



Please return the signature page from the parent portfolio by Friday.
