Troop 1506 Hosted a Holiday Party at the Hattie Callner Senior Apartment Complex
On Friday, Dec 19, the 6th grade Troop 1506 worked with Chicago Cares to make a difference in the community. The girls hosted a Holiday party at the Hattie Callner Senior Apartment Complex. Although the seniors live independently, they can become isolated and the purpose was to cross the generation gap and spread good cheer. The girls sang Christmas Carols, assisted with ornaments and card making and hosted a well received bingo game. The girls did a terrific job and not only crossed generation gaps but language barriers as well as many of the seniors did not speak English- many spoke Polish, Spanish and Korean. Despite these differences the girls hosted a great party that was enjoyed by all!
