Due to the rain, we will be having our picnic in the school hall. Please meet us downstairs at 9:00am. We will conclude the picnic at 10:30am, so that we do not interfere with school lunches.

Please have students wear their Peace Building Shirts tomorrow, June 5th.

Tomorrow is a Kindergarten t-shirt out-of-uniform day.

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be a pop-top out-of-uniform days.

Tuesday is also game day. Your child should bring in their favorite board or card game. It is essential that your child knows how to play the game. They will be the one to teach everyone else to play. Please do not send a game with a lot of little pieces or cards. We do not want to lose anyone's favorite game pieces!

We will be wrapping everything up on Wednesday. It is the last day of in our Kindergarten classrooms!

Thursday is our Kindergarten picnic and our last day of school! This is the last day we will be able to wear our Kindergarten t-shirts in Kindergarten, so please remember to dress your child in it. Please meet us at Brooks Park at 9:00am. We will begin the activities at around 10:00am. Younger siblings are welcome and please remember to bring snacks and drinks for you and your family if you would like. Report cards will be given to you at the park. We will conclude the celebration at 11:00am and you are free to go for the summer!

Good evening everyone! We will be putting the handprints up in the school hall this week instead of next. Mrs. Ryan will be at school to help us on Thursday morning at 8:30am. We are looking for help with this from anyone who is willing to lend a hand for about an hour. Please email your teacher if you are able to come. We do need at least four volunteers, and you are welcome to take a picture as your child prints their hands on the wall. We hope to see you there!

Tomorrow- Wednesday, May 29th will be a pop-top out-of-uniform day for all Kindergarteners. Please remember that we do have gym tomorrow, so your child should wear gym shoes. Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Tomorrow is the last day for FSP Hot Lunch.

There is no school on Monday, May 27th.

It is almost the end of the year, and we will be looking for some volunteers to wash items from the classroom before we pack up for the summer. Please let your teacher know if you are willing to help! Most things that will be sent home can be put in the dishwasher. Thank you!

We also need help painting the students handprints in the lunchroom.  We are hoping to get this completed on June 3rd and 4th.  If you are available to help us, please let your teacher know.

Our Kindergarten Picnic will be on Thursday, June 6th from 9:00am-11:00am. This will be our last day of school. Siblings are invited to join us for the picnic.

Tomorrow we will be going to see Seussical: The Musical along with the first graders! In our previous post, we stated that students must wear school pants or khakis with their Kindergarten shirts. Although all are still welcome to follow that dress code, students may wear any pants they would like. Please keep in mind, we will be sitting in a theater for a couple hours, so shorts may not be good idea. We will eat lunch upon our return. Please send a regular lunch, any who have ordered hot lunch will be recieving it at our later lunch time. You do not need to send a snack tomorrow, as we will not be eating until around noon.

This week we will be learning about the letters "Z". Please make sure your child can recognize, print, and vocalize the sound for both "Z". We will be learning about discussing photo albums, associating pictures with words and sentences, and adding "s" to make words plural. We will also be working with our new memory word: was.

We are now finished with our math book, so we will be reviewing with some supplemental sheets. Please continue to reinforce the math at home as well.

Our field trip to Seussical: The Musical is this Thursday, May 23rd. Students are to wear their Kindergarten t-shirts with khakis or school pants.

Last day of FSP hot lunch is this Friday, May 24th.

Kindergarten Mass is finally here! Please meet us in the church tomorrow morning at 8:50am, so we can begin promptly at 9:00am. Your child will know where you can sit together as a family. Please remember that this special day is for you and your Kindergartener, so you should come without younger siblings and dressed in nice party clothes.

Following the Mass, we will be walking to the school hall for a short reception. There will be some refreshments and a DVD presentation documenting our year so far. At around 10:45am all children will be dismissed with you so you can continue this special day however you choose.

Please continue to practice with your child if they have been given a reading part for Friday's Mass. We want everyone to be able to read their lines confidently for this special day!

This Thursday, May 16th will be a Kindergarten t-shirt out-of-uniform day. Students may wear shorts, but please no flip-flops. Thank you!

There is no school tomorrow- Friday, May 3rd.

We will continue to work with the letter J in the upcoming week. Please continue to practice previously taught skills.

We will be beginning a new chapter in math. Please reinforce measurement lessons at home and in "real world" settings whenever possible.

Next Friday, May 10th is Mother's Club Hot Lunch. Please remember to send a snack for the afternoon.

Please be sure to turn in your field trip and Parent Mass forms if you have not done so already.

Please remember to mark your calendars for our two very special Kindergarten days coming up. Our Kindergarten Mass will be on Friday, May 17th beginning at 9:00am in the church. All children will be dismissed from the reception at around 10:45am. Our Kindergarten Picnic will be on Thursday, June 6th from 9:00am-11:00am. This will be our last day of school. Siblings are invited to join us for the picnic, but please make other arrangements for them during our Kindergarten Mass.

Tomorrow is a Kindergarten t-shirt out-of-uniform day. Students do not have to wear their uniforms under their shirts.

The students may wear their Peace Building Shirts tomorrow, May 1st.  We will be going to Mass with our Reading Buddies.  Thanks!
