March News!
We went to computers last week and the children loved the Colgate kids site. The children wanted me to let you know the website. (www.colgate.com Kids - World). They have several activities to choose from.
This week we are working on the Letter "Y" and talking about Dr. Suess. March 2nd was Dr. Suess' birthday. To Celebrate we have been reading some of our favorite Dr. Suess books and even made our own Cat in the Hat.
Next week we will be working on the Letter "R". We started decorating our room for St. Patrick's Day. We will be working with watercolors to make our own "R"ainbows.

Father Steve came to visit our class room today to give us our ashes. Ask your child what he said as he gave us ashes.(Always Remember how much God loves you).

VIrtus Training
A Virtus training session is scheduled for Saint Juliana Parish and School volunteers on Thursday, March 4, at 7:00 P.M. in the school hall. Please register at www.virtusonline.org. Click on registration.

Preschool News!
On February 17th the children will receive ashes for Ash Wednesday. During Lent we will be discussing how to be more like Jesus. The children will be making stained glass crosses for our window.
February is Dental Health Month. We will be discussing dental health practices: brushing, limited sugar drinks and snacks. We have a special guest visiting us this week to talk about dental health. Their dental calendars were sent home today. Please have your child place a sticker every time they brush on their calendar. Mrs. “T” will be introduced; she talks about tall teeth and how to keep them healthy. We will focus on what we can do to remain healthy: eating good foods, hand washing, exercise, sleep, and of course those necessary visits to the doctor for preventive immunizations.
Reminder: No School Monday February 22nd.

February Fun!
We are working on the letter V. We will be talking about nutrition and eating healthy food. We will also be getting ready for our Valentine’s Party! Please have your child wear red or pink for our Valentine’s Party on Friday February 12th. Please have your child sign his/her name on their cards, but do not have them address them. We have 14 children in our classroom. Thank you for sending in the items to help us with our party. We really appreciate it!
In honor of Presidents’ Day we will be talking about how our Presidents are important to us and our country. We are making George Washington and Flag Hearts to help us celebrate our Presidents.
The week of February 19th, we will be working on the letter T. We will be talking about our teeth and good dental health.
In the Computer Lab, we went on starfall.com to help us with our letter sounds. The children may go on this website at home for more learning fun!
