Science - Find 4 living and 4 non-living things in your backyard, park, or forest preserve using the magnifying glass given to you in class. Use the chart you made in school. This will be due on Wednesday, but you may want to get a head start over the weekend.

Spelling - ABC order on looseleaf. Remember that the words are on the Spelling Contract (that is signed daily after practicing and returned on Friday) and I will put the words on Spellingcity.com weekly. Feel free to go onto spellingcity.com and practice your words and/or playing a game or two.



Spelling sentences (18 total) will be due every Friday and the test will also be Friday. Please underline the spelling word in each sentence in red.



* Homework in every subject is to be done on looseleaf unless otherwise noted.

* We have Mass on Wednesdays at 8:45 starting tomorrow. Please be in your uniforms every Wednesday.

Spelling- Worksheet page 5 (short vowels). Please put the two sentences on looseleaf and staple together.

The Spelling Contract words should be practiced daily and signed each day and then returned on Friday.

Math - Page 5 only odds on looseleaf.

* September book orders are coming home today. If you chose to order, they are due next Friday, Sept. 3. Please send only checks.

* A yellow Highlights sheet is also coming home. You can decide to order but if you chose not to, please sign your name on the sheet. If we get enough, the classroom will receive a prize. THANKS!!

* Please bring in $4.00 for the assignment notebook with your name and assignment notebook on the envelope.

* Bring back any forms from the business folder.

* I hope you all had a wonderful summer and it was so nice to see so many familiar faces!

* The homework for today is to cover the one book you brought home today. The rest will come home by Friday. I gave you four book covers for the four books you will need to cover for now. If you prefer, you can use the jumbo stretchy covers. Please make sure your name and year is in each one.

* Tomorrow is the normal Thursday 2:00 dismissal. Please bring a lunch.

* Many papers came home today in the business folder. Please fill them out as soon as possible.

* Please bring in a set of headphones labeled in a ziploc bag for Computer class.

* Bring in a smock or over-sized t-shirt in a bag to be keep at school for some art projects. Also, if you need to bring in gym shoes they will also stay in school and go in the bag.

* Only bring yourself tomorrow to school! No backpacks...you will only be given your report card. We will be dismissed from church after 9:00 Mass.

* I would like to thank everyone for a great school year and for all of your help! Thank you for sending your child to St. Juliana. You all have fabulous kids and I am going to miss them! I truly love coming to school every day and they sure keep me on my feet :) Have a fantastic and safe summer!
