Homework reminders and updates:

*All grades on Gradeport are currently up to date.

Grade 3: Study vocabulary words. Get your Unit test signed. You can check Gradeport for your current Reading grade (Unit test is included in grade). Also, you have the option for extra credit which is due Thursday 3/29.

Grade 4: Your projects are due to me tomorrow. You will continue to view the movie tomorrow.

Grade 5: Make sure to get your quiz signed and bring it back tomorrow. Your hero project is due tomorrow. Bring in or draw a picture of your hero, write or type a paragraph explaining who the person is and why they are your hero.

Grade 6: Your final project for Where the Mountain Meets the Moon is due tomorrow. No exceptions. Make sure you have your paragraphs for each of the 6 stops and journey home all typed out. Also make sure that your map is completed.We will begin presentations tomorrow.

Grade 8: Your persuasive essay is due tomorrow, no exceptions because the quarter ends on Friday. 12 point font, double spaced, Times New Roman font.

Grade 4: Complete your final James and the Giant Peach project at home, by Wednesday. We will present these later this week, after we finish watching the movie.

Grade 5: Get your quiz signed tonight. Finish reading Chapter 16 for homework.

Grade 6: Complete your final project for Where the Mountain Meets the Moon, due Wednesday. You need to type out each stop and your paragraphs, finish the map. We will present these later in the week.

Grade 8: Study for your Wordly Wise Lesson 5 quiz tomorrow. ***Paper is due Wednesday, no exceptions.

Grade 6: You will need to complete your project next week. So please make sure all 6 stops to Neverending Mountain are complete, and the paragraph on Minli's journey home.
We will focus next week on completing the map portion of the projects. Presentations will be on Wednesday.

Grade 8: Continue working this weekend on typing up your essay. Remember it is due Wednesday! *12 pt. font, Times New Roman, double spaced.

Grade 2: Please read the story aloud to someone at home tonight.

Grade 3: We will finish the last section of our Unit test tomorrow. Tonight, study your new story vocabulary words.

Grade 4: Tomorrow we will continue to work on your projects, they are due next Tuesday. Please work on them at home tonight also.

Grade 5: Study for your quiz tomorrow on chapters 12-14. You will be allowed to use your book on the quiz. Also, remember to bring in a picture of someone who you consider a hero.

Grade 6: Tonight you must complete the last two stops which we started in class today.
The stops are: Stop 5- Da-A-Fu's Village, Stop 6- Neverending Mountain.
Tomorrow we will work on completing the journey home.

Grade 8: Continue typing your essay at home tonight. It is due next Wednesday. Remember- 12 point font, double spaced, Times New Roman. Enjoy your field trip tomorrow :)

Reminders and homework update:

Grade 2: Be sure to read the story tonight and every other night this week to someone at home.

Grade 3: We will continue our Unit Test tomorrow.

Grade 4: We will begin our final activity for James and the Giant Peach tomorrow. Come prepared with things you might need: markers, crayons, scissors, glue, etc.

Grade 5: Read chapter 14 tomorrow. Please come prepared to work on the activity we will be completing on chapters 12-14.

Grade 6: Tonight complete paragraphs on the next two stops on Minli's.
The stops are: Stop 3- Buffalo Boy, Stop 4- the City of Bright Moonlight (with the King's Pavilion).
Remember you need to include who was present, what happened, what Minli learned, etc.

Grade 8: Type your persuasive essay, it will be due next week Wednesday. Remember: 12 point font, Times New Roman font.

Homework report, reminders:

Grade 3: We will continue our Unit test tomorrow. Tonight for homework, finish your Ice Hotel post card! Everyone finished the writing in class today, so only the drawing and coloring need to be completed for homework. Please get your test signed if you haven't already.

Grade 4: Study tonight! We have a very short, final quiz on James and the Giant Peach tomorrow.

Grade 5: Finish reading chapter 13 tonight for homework. Please return your quiz's, signed, tomorrow.

Grade 6: Tonight for homework work on your project for Where the Mountain Meets the Moon. You need to write one paragraph for the first 2 stops on Minli's journey to Neverending Mountain.
~The stops you are writing a paragraph about tonight are: Stop 1- Minli Meets Dragon, and Stop 2- Peach Tree Orchard
We discussed these stops today in class, thoroughly. Remember to include in your paragraphs the following: Who was at the this stop, where was this stop during Minli's journey, what happened during the stop, why was this stop significant in Minli's journey (what did she learn or gain from this stop)
-If you would like to e-mail me your draft of these paragraphs tonight, you can at mangelo[at]stjuliana[dot]org OR I will just see them and help you with revisions tomorrow :)

Grade 3: Please get your tests signed- if you have not returned Pecos Bill, and A Very Cool Place to Visit, which you got back today.
-Study the workbook page completed in class today on Unit Vocabulary. We reviewed the answers, so please make sure the answers are all correct! Your Unit Test will begin tomorrow!

Grade 4: Finish reading James and the Giant Peach tonight for homework (only three chapters left)! We will review the chapters tomorrow in class. Get your quiz signed if you have no already.

Grade 5: Study for your quiz tomorrow on Chapters 9-11. Bring back your quiz on chapters 5-8, signed by tomorrow. Here are the vocabulary words that will be on your quiz that you need to study tonight: sorcerer, eerie, repulsive, ventured, gloating.

Grade 6: We finished reading Where the Mountain Meets the Moon!!! Tomorrow we will finished up packet work and I will explain to you your final project on the novel.

Grade 4: Study for your SHORT quiz tomorrow. You will be able to use your book and journal on the quiz. If you did not finish answering the journal questions in class today, then it is homework tonight.Get your quiz signed and return it to class tomorrow.

Grade 5: Read chapter 10 in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

*A note to all grades: When you are assigned readings for homework I expect everyone to have completed the readings by the next days class. It is very important you read the night before, or else you are unprepared for our reading class.
