5th: IXL Time Grade 2 due Thursday, 4/5/12.
6th: IXL Time Grades K, 1, and 2 due Thursday, 4/5/12.
7th: Study for Chapter 6 Test, students will have 15 minutes to complete the test on Monday, 4/2/12.
IXL Time Grades K-2 is due on Thursday, 4/5/12.
8th: Students did not score well on the 7.1 to 7.3 quiz. We will continue to work on add, subtract, and multiply rational numbers and there will be a retake on Thursday, 4/5/12.

*I will be available tomorrow morning from 7:45 to 8:05 to answer students' questions.
5th: Study for the Chapter 9 Test. We will continue to take the Chapter 9 Math Test tomorrow. Please review how to multiply and divide decimals.
6th: Quiz on 5-1 to 5-3 tomorrow, 3/30. To practice for the test please complete, page 220-221 #9-23 ODDS and then check you answers in the back of the book. Remember: You get to fill one side of your notecard for the test.
7th: Chapter 6 Test is Tomorrow!!! Please re-do your incorrect homework problems to make sure you can get the correct answer. Remember you get to fill in one side of your notecard and use it on the test. No Calculators tomorrow.
8th: Quiz 7-1 to 7-3. You need to know how to:
-Add and Subtract Fractions
-Multiply Fractions
-Add, Subtract, Multiply, and Divide Decimals.
-GCF
-Write fractions in simplest form
-express a fraction as a decimal
-Find the LCM
*Redo any problems in your review packet that you got wrong. Make sure you can get the correct answer. You may use a multiplication chart on the quiz tomorrow. NO CALCULATORS will be allowed.
5th: Chapter 9 Test, Form A complete. Mrs. LaSusa will be in tomorrow, she will grade the homework and then pass out the practice test. The Chapter 9 Test is on Thursday and it is a multiple choice test.
6th: Homework Section 5-3 Worksheet. Some students need to do corrections on Section 5-2 page 584. This homework will be due on Thursday because tomorrow is IXL. There will be a quiz on 5-1 to 5-3 on Friday, 3/30/12.
7th: The Chapter 9 Test has been moved to Friday. Tonight's homework is 6-8 and 6-9 practice worksheets. Tomorrow the students will receive a study packet for the Chapter 6 test. We will grade this packet on Thursday.
8th: Please see yesterday's post for homework. I did not see 8th today because of the mass schedule.
I will be available to help students at the following times this week:
Monday and Tuesday: 2:50 to 3:20pm
Thursday: 7:40 to 8:05
*Homeroom help is available on M, Tu, Th, F from 12:40 to 1:05.
5th: None. We began studying for the Chapter 9 Test. Students will complete a practice test on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday they will receive a study guide that needs to be turned in Thursday before the test.
6th: We started a new section today. 5.2 ~ Prime Factorization. Homework. Page 184 Practice Problems ODDS, Mixed Review Problems ALL.
*Quiz on Friday over sections 5-1, 5-2, and 5-3.
7th: We graded the Chapter Review 6-1 to 6-6. Students will learn sections 6-8 and 6-9 tomorrow. The Chapter 6 Test has been moved to Friday, 3/30/12.
8th: Each student is working at their own pace. Below is a summary of the homework for each student:

BB and MS: Worksheet 7.3 Do, Grade, and correct.
RD: Corrections 7-3
TB and SO: NONE
JR: Complete 7-2 Book and 7-2 Worksheet
BO: 7-2 corrections.
Quiz on 7-1 to 7-3 will be on Thursday, 3/29/12.
2nd: Please practice your math facts. We will have a test on Tuesday, 3/27/12.
5th: None, we completed a quiz on the Chapter 9 topics. We will review for the Chapter 9 Test on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The test is scheduled for Thursday, 3/29/12.
6th: We took a quiz on decimals and exponents. We have some areas to work. We will start section 5-3 on Monday and we will have a quiz on 5-1 to 5-3 on Thursday, 3/29/12.
7th: We had a shorten period because of the movie. Students began the Chapter 6 Review in class. The Chapter 6 test is scheduled for Thursday, 3/29/12.
8th: No class today. Please see Thursdays post for homework. Quiz on sections 7-1 to 7-3 will be on Thursday, 3/29/12.
5th: IXL Time 1st grade due by Wednesday, 3/28/12.
6th: page 180 #11-35 ODDS and 37-40 ALL
7th: Please check your child's assignment notebook. Each student has a different assignment because each child is learning at their own pace. The Chapter 6 Test will be next Thursday, 3/29/12.
8th: Students are each working at their own pace. Please check their assignment notebook or their math spiral for specific homework. The 7.1 to 7.3 Quiz will be next Thursday, 3/29/12.

6th: NONE, we took a Chapter 5 pre-test today. The students continue to struggle with the Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division of decimals. They will be receiving a weekly decimal review sheet. It will be assigned on Monday and due on Friday.
7th: NONE, students are taking a Algebra Basic Skills test to determine what areas we need to focus on to prepare them for Algebra.
8th: NONE, students are taking a Chapter 7 Pre-Test to see if we can skip any topics in Chapter 7.

7th: page 647 #1-25 ALL. We are continuing to review Chapters 1-6. This is the half-way point for the Course 3 material before moving forward I want to make sure the class is comfortable with the topics they have learned this far.
8th: Cumulative Review Packet is due tomorrow, 3/13/12.
**Reminder Math Homework is given to students, so that, they can practice for their math tests. Homework is not optional. If students do not complete their homework they will fall behind in class and will not score well on their tests. Please make sure you child is doing their math homework each evening. Thank you!
