5th: Page 135. Students wrote down the specific problem numbers in their assignment notebooks or math spirals.
6th: IXL Probability, 20 minutes. Homework from Monday is due tomorrow, 11/30/11.
7th: Page 105-106 #5-27 ODDS ONLY, check answers in back of the book. And, page 106 #30-33.

8th: Page 165-166, 9,11,13,15. Note I gave the students the wrong notes in class today. The interquartile range is the upper quartile minus the lower quartile. Page 166, #19, 20 and "Mid-Chapter Self Test".
IXL Ratios, Proportions, and Percents. Finish grade 5 by Sunday, 12/4/11.
5th: Finish multiplication and division worksheet. The division part of the worksheet is to assess how much of long division the class remembers from last year. We will be going over the worksheet in class. If you do not know how to do a problem put a ? next to it. IXL 20 minutes.
6th: Page 97 #11-29 ODDS ONLY (Check answers in the back of the book), page 98 #32-35. IXL 20 minutes.
7th: Cumulative Review Chapters 1 and 2. This counts as a homework grade out of 100 points.
8th: Cumulative Review Chapter 1-3 ALL. Counts as a Test Grade.
*IXL Grade 5 Level V due by Sunday, 12/4/11.

-Standardized Test Packet is due Tuesday. This will count as a take home test score.
7th: Worksheets due tomorrow. Students who did not finish their tests in class will finish them tomorrow during IXL.
8th: Study for Chapter 4 Quiz, 4.1 to 4.4, Page 179-180 #11-21 ODDS. Complete these problems and then check your answers in the back of the book. The ones you got wrong are your weakness so do some extra problems to practice your weaknesses.
5th: Page 127 #39 and #40. Chapter 3 Test is Friday, 11/18/11. IXL 20 Minutes by 11/20/11.
6th: Practice Worksheet 2-9 ALL. Chapter 2 Test is Friday.

-Look at review worksheets and redo the problems you got wrong.
-Do the odd problems in your book for the sections you are having trouble in and then check you answers in the back of the book.
8th: Finish Quiz B on Worksheet. Page 614 Lesson 4-1 ALL, Page 615 Lesson 4-2 #1 and #3. Quiz Section 4-1 to 4-4 on Friday, 11/18/11.

Studying Process:
1. Complete Chapter 2 Test From 1A using your notes and books.
2. Correct you test using the answers above.
3. Missed problems need to be corrected and understand why you got it wrong.

5th/6th/7th: IXL 20 minutes -Probability and Statistics
6th: Finish Practice Worksheet 2-7. Chapter 2 Test will be on Friday, 11/18/11.
8th: IXL 20 Minutes by Sunday 11/13/11: Start with Grade 5 Ratio, Proportions, and Percents. If you finish Grade 5 move on to grade 6.
Online grades have been updated. Note some grades are very low because students have not been doing their 20 minutes of IXL at home. IXL time can be made up. So, if you have a 0 for IXL last week do 40 minutes of IXL this week to make it up.
5th: IXL 3 grade E.8, E.9, and E.10. Students need to finish all practice skills from E.1 to E.13 by Friday.
-Students will need to do 20 minutes of IXL Probability and Statistics at home before Sunday 11/13/11.
6th: NONE, today we practiced writing extended responses in math. This is a difficult skill to work on. The students are working hard and are learning to accept recommendation to improve their writing. IXL Probability ~ 20 minutes by Sunday 11/13/11.
7th: Page 88 #11-28. Chapter 2 Test will be on Thursday 11/17/11. IXL Probability and Statistics ~20 minutes by Sunday 11/13/11.
8th: High School Entrance Exam packet pages 186 to 189 is due tomorrow. Chapter 3 Test will be on Friday, 11/11/11. IXL Rations, Proportions, and Percents, Grade 5 ~ 20 minutes by Sunday 11/13/11.
5th: IXL Grade 3 E.5, E.6, and E.7.

8th: Page 649 #1-33. This will be collected and it counts as a quiz grade.
*Note all classes NEED to complete 20 minutes of IXL homework per week. 5th, 6th, and 7th are working on Probability and Statistics starting at Grade 1 and going up to and including 6th grade. 8th is working on Rations, Proportions, and Percents Grade 5 and Grade 6.
5th: IXL Grade 3 Practice Skill E. We are reviewing multiplication facts this week.
6th: None, IXL Probability and Statistics, start at grade 1 and work up to and including 6th grade. Goal to complete 6th grade by Christmas break.

6th: Bar and Line Graphs Worksheets. IXL Probability. Start at Grade 1 Skill P.1, P.2, and P.3. If you finish grade 1 move on to grade 2 probability and statistics.

8th: page 122 #10-28, and 31-34. Remember the proportion:

7th: Chapter 2 Test in back of book. Test tomorrow on:
Adding, Subtracting, and Multiplying Integers.
*The answers to the Chapter 2 Test were given to the students. Students should complete the test first and then grade the test. Redo any problems that they got wrong to make sure they understand how to do them.
8th: None ~ Students worked on High School Entrance Exam test questions today in class. All students need to complete up to page 185. If they did not finish it in class they have it for homework.
