Congratulations to my hard working math students who completed 295 math problems last week.
For those of you who have not started your IXL this is the week to begin.
I have completed each assignment that I gave you and it took me a total of 4 hours and 18 minutes to complete both the 6th grade and 7th grade assignments. So it should take you about 6 to 8 hours to complete the assignment over the next 8 weeks.
If you have any questions regarding the assignment please send me an e-mail and I will answer your questions within 24 hours.
I hope you are all having a great summer!

Remember there are 8 assignments and 10 weeks of summer, so make sure you budget your time. If you have a family vacation, scout camps, or a special event make sure you start a week early.
Also, remember you get to choose your grade. So if you encounter a section that is challenging for you and you only want to get an 86% then stop when you hit 86%. I will take an average score of all 8 sections and this will be your first test grade of the 2011/2012 school year.
If you have any questions regarding a topic you can always e-mail me. I check my e-mail frequently so you will get a response within 24 hours.
Summer Vacation is upon us and at this time I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your children for a wonderful year.
I have seen my students grow in confidence this year and organization.
The most amazing accomplishment was their IXL work. In the end 18 students completed 103,800 IXL math problems from February 26, 2011 to May 26, 2011. This shows how hard your children have worked.
Students completed an end of the year survey for my math class and they all said they enjoyed math and learning this year. They recommended that we have more IXL days, rewards for doing homework, competitions, and doing more problems on the board. I will incorporate as many of these suggestions as I can when I design my lesson plans for next year.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful and restful summer.
There is no homework for 5th, 6th, or 7th.
*If your child has a math textbook at home, please have them return it to me tomorrow, 6/3/11.
**Summer Math Homework - All grades will recieve a summer math assignment from me.
The purpose of this assignment is to reinforce the math concepts we have been learning through out the year, so that we can cut down our review time at the beginning of the new school year. I will send home the summer math assignment sheet tomorrow, 6/3/11. The parent and student signed assignment sheet must be returned by Monday - June 7, 2011.
