Please sign all test and return tomorrow. Also, last week we took an addition test. Their grades our on gradekeeper if you would like to see them. The test will go home next week when we take the subtraction part of the test.

Tomorrow we will be viewing the St. Juliana Science Fair Projects from our 6th, 7th and 8th Grade classes.

Dear Parents,
As I was placing the January Scholastic book orders I noticed someone orderd "Tarantula Vs. Scorpian" and did not put their child's name on the gift certificate. Please email me so I can put your child's name on the certificate.
Just a reminder to everyone that these certificates are good until June. Also, if the book is more than $4.00 you can pay the difference.

This Friday is the end of the 2nd Quarter. Once again many are struggling to achieve the required 8 points for A.R. There really is no excuse for not achieving 8 pts. We have 20 min of silent reading in class daily and everyone should be reading a half hour each night. Your child's student record report is in his/her folder today. Please take time to review what your child has been reading during the 2nd Quarter. Those that do not have 8 pts will be staying in to read during recess. Those that have under 3 pts will be missing gym/music this week.

English- Reread rules for verbs in the present. Complete Paragraph on p 101

Yearbook Pictures

Monday, January 9. 2012, we will be taking pictures for our yearbook of our many and various groups, teams and clubs. Students are to come in our official school uniforms, no spirit or sports wear. If your child is in scouts they may wear their uniform.

Welcome back! All were excited to talk about Christmas break when they came in this morning. Sounds like everyone had a nice Christmas season.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be focusing on adding and subtracting large numbers with and without regrouping. Your child's success is directly related to how well he/she knows the basic addition and subtraction facts.
We have taken fact speed quizes for add/sub facts. The time we spend in school is NOT enough for fact mastery. There are other concepts to cover in class so the time we can devote to fact memorization is limited. It is critical to have your support at home.
