Math- comparing numbers worksheet
Spelling-Study for spelling test. Complete workbook pg. 44-45 and complete spelling sentences if you did not complete throughout the week.
English- P42-43 # 1-17 odd only Underline the predicate only.
Spelling- p42-43 If you did not finish in class
Science-p69-70 If you did not finish in class
Science- Review Lesson 1 for a quiz on the Ecosystem.
Spelling-Some need to finish sound spelling and ABC order.
Handwriting-Some need to finish 2 pages.
Reading-Read "Opt" for fun. Have fun with the optical illusions.
Science- Pg. B17 and B19 2 questions in Diagram section. Also,answer 2 questions at the bottom of page. Study notes in science notebook. Reread Lesson 1 and 2. Some need to reread Lesson 2 and make corrections on worksheet. We will be having a quiz on lesson 1 vocab. on Wed.
Math-Reteach Worksheeet
Reading-Review story for Reading test on Phoebe and the Spelling Bee. Complete pg. 76 in reader on the Glossary.
Mrs. Carroll's reading class will have test on Tuesday.
Spelling-No test this Friday. We have it on Monday. Finish ABC order, sound spelling and pg. 36-37 if you have not done so already.
We had a great day for track-a-thon. I will post track-a thon pictures later.

Business Folders were sent home. Several notes to look over.
Math-Review Rules for rounding in 5 Sub. notebook. I also taught them how to use a number line. Complete BOTH sides of math worksheet. Some are still having difficulty with the rounding concept. We will continue to work on this for awhile.
Reading- Fill out "story map" for "Phoebe and the Spelling Bee".

Reading-All students should read at least 20- 30. min. a night. If you have time have your child read aloud to you. This will help them become fluent readers.

Reading-Study vocab. and reread "Grandfather's Journey" for fluency and comprehension. We will be having our first reading test tomorrow.
Spelling-Study Unit 2 words for test tomorrow and complete unit 2 in the spelling book if you did not finish last week.
Today we had an all school assembly-Peace Rally in the gym in honor of 9/11. Ask your child to tell you about it:)
Math-pg.9 #9-23 odd only. Write out complete problem and skip a line between each problem.
Science- Read through notes in Science Folder.
I'd like to thank everyone for coming to parent night. They were so...excited to read the letters you left in their desk. I know it's alot of information to take in at once. Although, your children will get adjusted to the routine. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Today Star Reading Test results were sent home. You don't need to sign and return. They are for you to keep. I have a copy.
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you tomorrow night. Hopefully, if you still have some questions about the 3rd grade curriculum or routine I'll be able to answer them.
