Spelling- ABC order/ sound spelling if you did not finish today.
Assignment Notebooks- Some children will be running out of pages next week. They can purchase a new one for $4.00.
Business and Friday folders are in their school bags. Please review, sign and return English test.

Mass at 8:45 on Wednesday. We will be testing in the afternoon.

It's hard to believe it's March 1st!!

All went well with the testing today. I will keep the homework light this week. We are continuing on with the regular curriculum in the afternoon.

Math- pg.278-280 Perimeter and Flashcards.

Adan arranged for her Grandfather to come to their music class last Friday. He discussed and played his various flutes with the class. They had fun accompanying him with some background music of their own.

Today your child brought home 2 practice test booklets. These were given to familiarize them with sample questions and test taking strategies. These booklets do not need to be returned.

We will be testing in the mornings. It would help if your child gets a good nights rest and a good breakfast before school.

We will continue on with our normal curriculum in the afternoon. Homework will be light next week.

Please review, sign and return Science test. #22 was a free pt. Also, please return the Religion test. I am still missing several.

Today we did our practice test for the In View test which will be on Monday. Most felt it was pretty easy. Tomorrow will be the practice test for the Terra Nova. I will send the practice tests home tomorrow so you can look them over and discuss them with your child. Some parents have gone on line and typed in Terra Nova and gotten some practice items. There is no real way to study for the Terra Nova. The test is based on prior knowledge. If you would like to do this, feel free. Please don't make your child nervous about taking the tests. I have assured them that they will not be counted as a grade.

Reading-Read Patchwork Quilt

Tomorrow we will take our practice In View Test. This precedes the Terra Nova. Friday we will take our practice Terra Nova. You will then see a sample of the types of problems your children will be doing next week. Please assure them that none of this is counted as a grade and they should relax and see just how much they know.
