Let's Go Fly A Kite!
Our Environmental Kites!
The children have been working hard all week designing beautiful kites to support the environment. They thought of great slogans to help our Earth and illustrated their kites.
We will be going to Brooks Park the afternoon of Friday, May 30th, to fly our beautiful kites! All of our parents are welcome to join us for the kite fly! A letter will go home this Friday about this special day. Attached to the letter will be a permission slip to be returned.

Art Show
On May 5 there will be an Art Show in the gym. Students are encouraged to bring in any art from home that they are particularly proud of. Also, on display will be saved items from Art Class and Art Moms.
Below are "Where are the Wild Things" masks they made last week with our Art Moms Mrs. Lombardi and Mrs. Ferraresi. These will be displayed in the gym on May 5.
The class loved the delicious "monster" donuts they ate after their creations were complete.

Scientist of the week!
Nathan showed us how to make quicksand!! We mixed water with food coloring and cornstarch. The faster we stirred the quicksand the harder it became and the slower we mixed it the runnier it became. Quicksand is a special kind of liquid that becomes thicker when stirred.

Scientist Of The Week!
Jack demonstrated how cold water is denser than hot water. We filled two pop bottles up with hot and cold water with green food coloring. We stood the two bottles on top of one another and watched the food coloring move upward. Wow!
