Science (fourth): Complete a Venn Diagram comparing plant and animal cells. Use pg A10 in your book for help.

Religion: Study for test on Friday.

Reading: finish The Lost Lake and write 3 more traits about a main character and give a detail to support your choice.

Math: pg. 4-5 #1-23 Odds only

Religion: Study notes for Test on Friday

This week we will be focusing on and learning many new things. This is what we will learn this week!

Reading: We are working on character traits. We are looking at our two main characters in the story and identifying their traits and giving examples to support our ideas. We will also focus on making inferences to help us understand the story.

Religion: We are working on Chapter one which is the story of creation. We will be having a test on Friday for chapter one. Students will be taking home their notebooks to study their notes for the test.

Science (fourth grade): We are working on cells, especially plant cells. We will draw a diagram of a cell and look at a plant under the microscopes to see the cells close up. We will also be making and labeling a cell on Thursday.

Science (fifth grade): We are working on the different kingdoms of organisms. We will also be looking at cells under the microscope and swab the school for traces of bacteria.

Remember that Thursday is parent night at school. I look forward to meeting all of you and talking about what a wondeful school year we will be having this year. See you Thursday!

Reading: Practice book pgs. 1-2. Page 2 must be in complete sentences.

Math: study multiplication facts

Tomorrow come out of uniform due to the heat and also bring water bottles.

Today was a wonderful first day of school. It was great to see everyone excited and ready for the school year to begin. Please send back the forms as soon as possible and the $4.00 for the assignment notebook if your child received one. Also, the students will be dismissed from the west parking lot doors for the rest of the school year. If anyone has any questions please feel free to email me. I look forward to working with you and your students during this school year.

Tomorrow is our last day of school. We have mass at 9:00 and we will be dismissed from Church following mass. Please have students bring their backpacks since they will be taking home their report cards tomorrow along with other important papers.

Have a great summer! I will miss all of you. Thank you for such a great year!!!!!
