The St. Juliana Fine Arts Association will present “Guys and Dolls Jr.” on Tuesday, April 24 and Thursday, April 26, 2012. There are nearly 100 children involved in the production as cast, crew and our “Glee Club”. They are working very hard to ensure a production you will enjoy!

Here is where you come in. A lot of cost and effort goes into a production such as this. Please consider supporting our school and your children by placing a “booster” or personal ad in our book. Click here for a printable ad order form.

All Spring Spirit Wear pre-orders are due this Fiday, March 30th. This is the last order for this school year.

Also, anyone interested in the NEW women's cut t-shirt should stop by the main office to see sample sizes. Please keep in mind that women's cut t-shirts run small.

Spring Photos were sent home today. Please look them over. You may purchase all or some of them and return the ones you don’t want. Please make your checks out to Van Gogh.
The due date for all photos and payments is Thursday, April 5, 2012.

As you may know, yesterday morning before school started, a parent, known to the school, came into the building and was seen passing out a packet of materials. When we realized what he was doing, he was immediately stopped and asked to leave the school which he did in a cooperative manner.

At no time was the safety of students or staff jeopardized. This person was not an unknown intruder.

The Chicago Police Department was notified. They have handled the situation subsequently. Because of the nature of the materials being passed out, this person has been told they may not be in or around the school building in the future.

The students may begin wearing uniform shorts tomorrow, if they choose, due to the unseasonably warm weather. The girls may also wear white ankle socks instead of knee socks.

You may have received some unauthorized material this morning as the students were arriving at school.

No one is allowed to distribute materials of any sort on school grounds.

We have addressed it with the Chicago Police Department.

In the interest of keeping the school community safe, please alert the administration if you notice anything unusual on school grounds.

On Friday, March 16th, eleven Saint Juliana boys traveled to St. Barnabas School on the south side to participate in their St. Baldrick's fundraiser. They had their heads shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures. Together "Team St. Juliana" raised $1750! Participants were Tommy, John, Emmett M., PJ and Ciaran M., Kevin D., Jack F., Jake M., Dillon M., Mario and Matthew O. Here are their before and after pictures. Thank you, boys!

In celebration and appreciation of our tireless volunteers, please join us in the school hall at 8:00 AM for a Continental breakfast, followed by mass at 8:45 in church.

Barnes & Noble TRIP certificates will be available for purchase at the Mothers' Club Barnes & Noble event on Wednesday, March 21. There is a 9% rebate on B&N cards so please consider using them to make your purchases that day.

Yes, it's that time again: The Saint Juliana School Advisory Board is looking for enthusiastic parents or parishioners to fill openings available for the next term. The election will take place at Coffee, Tea & Thee on Sunday, May 6, if necessary. (An election will not be needed if the number of nominees equals the number of openings.)

Interested individuals should read the FAQs before completing the candidate questionnaire and nomination form. Should you have any questions please consult any of the current school board members.

Mrs. Reyes' fifth grade classroom used their SMART Board this morning for an interactive Skype session with a similarly equipped classroom in Ireland.

Registration for students currently attending Saint Juliana School is due March 15. If you have not already sent your form with the $45.00 per student registration fee please send as soon as possible.

Families registering siblings of current students may pick up new student Application for Admission forms in the school office or a printable copy is available on line in the parent portal on our school website.

If you pay fees thru GIVECENTRAL.ORG please note that on your form.

Formerly known as the Moms and Tots group, we now have a new name: Tots & Company.

Who can be the "company"? Anyone caring for children not yet of school age. Moms, dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nannies... all are invited to join us for some light morning refreshments and friendly socializing.

This month we'll again be gathering in the Extended Care room in the school. Plenty of toys to keep the little ones busy! (Interested parents can also visit our preschool classrooms if they want to take a peek.)

If you know of families new to the neighborhood, this is a perfect gathering for breaking the ice, so please share this notice with them. ALL are welcome to drop in, even if just for a few minutes.

In order to accommodate the later than usual payment due date for February and delayed payment data from givecentral.org, the March tuition statements will be sent home Wednesday, March 7.

Payments received in the office or paid online by March 1 will appear on your March statement. The March payment must reach the office or be paid online by Monday, March 26 in order not to incur a late charge.

Do you need to pick up a gift card for the next children's birthday party? Why not use TRIP and earn yourself some tuition relief?

The St. Juliana School Board will be selling TRIP certificates at Coffee, Tea and Thee this Sunday, March 4th, from 8:00am until noon.
