Please share your Halloween candy. Bring in your wrapped candy to School by Wednesday November 2nd. The candy will be use for bag lunches for the homeless made by our Saint Vincent Depaul Society.

Parents, please note that the east side of Osceola Avenue adjacent to the school and parking lot is a No-Parking/Tow Zone when school is in session.

Recently, the City of Chicago Department of Revenue has begun to enforce no-parking zones around the church and it may be reasonable to expect similar enforcement efforts around the school.

The November tuition statements will be sent home on Monday, October 31. They reflect payments received/posted as of Wednesday, October 26. Payments received after that date will appear on the December statement.

Join the Fine Arts Committee for a Junior High Halloween Dance on Saturday, October 29th 7 to 9 pm.

St Juliana's Academic Team, which includes Clare Broderick, Joseph Conte, Giuliana Conte, Claire Donnelly, James Oddo, Adam Okrzesik, and Kyle Steffen, participated in the Notre Dame High School Academic Bowl for 8th graders. The competition began on October 18th, where the St. Juliana team was undefeated. The team returned on October 25th to participate in the final matches.
St Juliana won second place out of 20 schools competing. Congratulations!!!

Tomorrow Van Gogh is coming to do retakes of school photos for students who were absent or meet one of the following Van Gogh acceptable reasons:

Eye Closures
Out of Focus
Off Centering
Glare in Glasses
Photographic Flaws (marks on photo)


Unacceptable Reasons:
Change of Clothing
Acne/ Braces
Hair Style Change


Please return the entire package of pictures you are unhappy with to the photographer on retake day. We will print the original package ordered in the new image. Order forms are at the office.

Saint Juliana School is celebration Red Ribbon Week. The students are learning about making safe and healthy choices for themselves. On Thursday, the entire school body is allowed to come out-of-uniform dressed in red. Jeans are acceptable. "Hand in Hand ... We Take a Stand".

A PDF version of the current TRIP order form is now available online. If you have a recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can complete your order using the Highlight Fields option in Acrobat, then print and turn it in to the TRIP office.

Alternatively, you can print the order form and manually complete the order as usual.

The kids will be creating works of art in class and these masterpieces can be transformed into holiday or all occassion greeting cards!

Only $15 for a pack of 10 cards originally designed by your child.

Payment needs to be received by November 11th and cards will be delivered by the holidays!

It's never too early to start thinking about your Christmas TRIP certificate needs - the season will be upon us before we know it!

From holiday gatherings at local restaurants (Nonno Pino's, Eliott's, Moretti's, Snuggery...) to stocking stuffers (Wendy's, Dunkin' Donuts, Chipotle...) to grab bag gifts (Panera, Einstein, Starbuck's...) the TRIP office can fill your order.

Looking to get out of the house with the little one(s)? Need to break up the day? Want to meet other Moms with whom you can have an “adult” conversation?

Then please join your fellow mothers of the parish for a casual morning of coffee and conversation. Your children are welcome! Coffee, refreshments, and toys will be provided. Grandmas watching baby/tot’s welcome too.

The October tuition statements will be sent home in backpack mail today with the youngest/only student.

Per our tuition policy for Participating and Non-Participating families, adjustments have been made retroactive to June 1, 2011, for Participating Families who did not reach their commitment to contribute $675 to St. Juliana Parish last year.

A contribution statement for the period from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011, and notification letter are being sent to families whose billing status was changed effective with the October statement. Should this affect your family and you wish to verify your contributions for that period, please contact Diane Holmen in the parish office at 773.631.4127 for clarification.

The rescreening will be Friday morning, October 7. Students who were absent during the previous screening days will be tested. If you have not paid for the screening and wish to have your student screened, please turn in the form (available in the school office) along with your check, $10/test.
