Due to hot weather predictions for tomorrow, September 1st and Friday September 2nd, students may come out of uniform.

Please note 8th grade students must come in uniform on Thursday, September 1st, because of Leadership day.

Please be on the look-out for two important papers that will be sent home with the youngest/only student in each family today:

• The tuition statement (green) for September, which includes TRIP credits earned over the summer as well as retroactive entries for certain tuition items.


• A family Emergency Contract Record (blue) which must be completed in full and returned to the school office by Friday, September 2.

Drama Club will be an in-school, not after-school activity during the fall semester for students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Classes will be limited to the first 20 participants, and will happen during each grade’s "specials" classes on Monday mornings. This means that classes will be 45 minutes long, and drama classes will be by grade. Students will have the option to take Drama Classes instead of Art or Gym for this six-week period.
A flyer with more information will be sent home today to sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students in "backpack" mail.

Save the date: Back to School Night is Wednesday September 7, at 7:00pm in the gym.

Tomorrow, August 25, please respect our “NO TRAFFIC ZONES” around the school. Beginning on Friday, on school days only, our school parking lot and parts of Oketo and Osceola Avenues will be closed to all car traffic from 7:55 to 8:20 AM to provide the necessary safety for all students. Parent of preschool children may park in the designated area of the school parking lot.

Tomorrow, the first day of school, and Thursday parents and students in kindergarten through eighth grade may gather in the school parking lot at 8:00 A.M. near the signs indicating grade levels. Teachers will meet the students there to organize them into homeroom groupings and lead them inside.

Bring your cameras and your smiles. Be sure to wear your school uniform.

In case of rain, we will meet in the gym, entrance on Oketo Avenue.

Tomorrow is a half-day of school for all students in kindergarten through eighth grade; 8:15 to 11:30 A.M. Thursday is a full day with our usual Thursday dismissal time at 2:00 P.M. Friday is also a full day; 8:15 A.M. to 2:50 P.M.

Ms. Mary Kay O'Rourke, the sister of Saint Juliana teacher Mrs. Patty Collins, died suddenly this weekend. The wake is at Saint Juliana Church on Monday, August 22, from 2:00 until 9:00 P.M. in the church. The funeral Mass is on Tuesday, August 23, at 10:00 A.M.
Please pray for the Collins and O'Rourke families during this sorrowful time. May God bless them and hold them close in the palm of His hands.

At a random time on Friday, August 19, classroom assignments will be posted for all students whose medical documents and tuition payments are current, including the first payment of the 2011/2012 school year, which was due June 5, 2011.

In order for online payments to be received in time for classroom assignment posting, they must be transacted by midnight, August 18. Credit/debit cards and electronic checks are accepted at GiveCentral.org.

We are very excited to meet all of you on Tuesday, August 23rd. Times are divided by the first letter of your last name. Please bring your child’s supplies to leave in their classroom.

The first day of school will be Wednesday, August 24th from 8:15am-11:30am.
Your child will need to be dressed in uniform.

Medical forms for students entering Kindergarten, 6th, or new students to Saint Juliana, must be in the office before the student's name will be assigned to a classroom.
