BATTLE OF THE BOOKS
We are a few weeks into the Battle and some of our Teams are doing really well. Be sure to keep reading to stay competitive.
Slips have been sent home for Battle of the Books T-Shirts. Please return these slips asap to Miss Parkhill or Mrs. Jimenez. T-shirts have already been paid for, the slips are to ensure proper sizing.
BARNES AND NOBLE
The Mothers' Club will be hosting the annual Barnes and Noble fundraising night April 1st. This is always a fun night. Come out and support our school children. This year the store will feature works of art from our students as well as student and factulty readings. With the whole store to choose from there will be items to fit every budget. Need Easter gifts? Something to read on the plane trip for Spring Break? Books are great to have. Don't forget to use your TRIP cards as well as membership cards to save more money.
BOOK DONATIONS
Spring cleaning? The Library accepts gently used books. Thank you to everyone who has already donated to us. The children love new books. We are constantly replacing books especially popular titles as these tend to fall apart from being read so often!
Thank you to Mothers' Club, Mens' Club and Cub Scouts for being generous donors of new materials to our Library.

Our Library Catalog is Online
We are in the process of adding new library books to our system, many of them non-fiction, which will help students with research projects.
Last year, the SJS Mothers' Club generously donated funds toward the upgrade of our library computer system, enabling us to provide online, filtered searching of our own library catalog.
Parents, please encourage your students, especially the younger ones, to make this their first stop when beginning research for a project:
