So sorry about the library sale. By the time it was our turn to go and buy books, there were very few to choose from. I guess the other kids must have really bought up a lot. The good thing is, perhaps Mrs. Jimenez can replace some of the oldies. Thanks for your generous support.

I forgot to tell everyone today that there will be a book sale in the library. Mrs. Jimenez would like the students to bring in quarters or dollars, but nothing larger than a dollar. If you talk to your friends tonight, please tell them too.

Ryan gave us some tips on how to shoot and pass in basketball. He made it look pretty easy. We all know it takes lots of practice to be a great player. Can't wait to see Ryan playing when he moves up the grades. Thanks Ryan for the tips.

Spelling - Be sure that p. 192 & 193 are complete along with p. 247 & 248. There was some confusion today. Also, do the two worksheets. Remember that these are the words that will be tested Friday.

In a last attempt to learn as much as we can before becoming fourth graders, let's try to get enough sleep and eat a good breakfast in order to stay alert in school. I know the nice weather makes it difficult to stick to a schedule, but if we can give these last weeks all we can, next year will be an easy transition. Keep up the great work in setting a good example of reading and reviewing.

Ask about the Battle of the Books tournament finals today. Three teams competed for medals today. These students have been competing with other teams to see which team would score the most points in understanding the books they have read. Congratulations to all of the teams. They did a superb job!!! Think about joining next year. Those that love to read would be a great asset to the teams.

Math - Worksheet. Study your facts. We are having another "Mad Minutes" worksheet tomorrow and we would like to see as many people as possible get their names into the end of the year raffle for some great prizes provided by Mrs. Denver. Study!!!!

We have received two Flat Stanley letters and seen the wonderful times he has spent in both Texas and California. Keep looking in the mail for any sign that he may be returning. We can't wait to hear about his next adventure!
