We sent two beautiful Easter baskets to our Jr. High friends who will deliver them to the kids from our outreach program. Thank you to all that donated such wonderful things!!! Also, a great big thank you for the Cubs Items for our Black Top Ball Tub. So far we have collected decals, a Chicago Cubs Cookbook, a Cubs Twister Game, a Spring Training Preview, a Cubs Throw, 2 caps, a Softee Baseball, License Plate holder, a car flag, a Cubs lanyard, a Cubs hooded sweatshirt, a Cubs Can Holder, and two parking passes. We surely are on our way to a wonderful tub of fun! Thanks to all that have brought things in. We still have plenty of time, so if you are still interested in donating, please do.

In an effort to curtail the number of missing assignments (We have 52 in the third quarter alone), I would like to enlist your help. Please check your child's assignment notebook, blog, or any other means of getting assignments to see if your child has actually done the work and put it into their folder and then the backpack. Having assignments done is a great responsibility that will carry over to every grade after third. Let us all work together in order to establish this as one of the top priorities. Thank you for your endeavors.

Lauren showed us many of her gymnastic moves today. She is preparing for a meet soon with other park districts. We of course thought she was fantastic! Looks like she might be winning some medals soon. Good luck, Lauren!!!!

Another baker! Rory explained all of the steps for making delicious chocolate cupcakes. It looks like some of the students are headed for the next generation of cooking shows! I hope I recognize them when they're all grown up. What a tasty treat for us!

Thanks to all the moms and dads that served good breakfasts and kept to an early bed schedule for testing this week. Finally, we are done! Enjoy the fresh air and get some exercise over the week-end to make up for all of the sitting time during testing. Enjoy!
