Aoife's Talent

Aoife entertained us while we feasted on Clair's culinary creation. Aoife amazed us with a magic trick but was also kind enough to tell us and show us how the trick works so that we can all baffle our friends. Once again, our talent is endless! Of course we would love to see more magic, so maybe Aoife can add a few more tricks to her repertoire. Keep it up!

Claire's Talent

Chef Claire let us in on one of her secret recipes for a cheesy chili dip that everyone just loved. Perhaps your child would like to duplicate it for a family get together. We could hardly wait to eat it. Maybe Clair will some day have a cooking show and we can say we knew her when. You never know!

The annual expedition to Target to choose gifts for the Christmas Sharing program is a highlight for our Student Council, and they've been busy collecting donations from their classmates for the effort.

Use the link to make a one-time donation for this project via GiveCentral.org. All funds are pooled and used to purchase Target gift cards, which our SJS shoppers use to buy a variety of practical gifts for the Christmas Sharing Program recipients.

Every year our parish coordinates a Christmas Sharing Program, which is a wonderful way of sharing Christmas gifts with those less fortunate than ourselves. We collect gifts for:
• babies of teenage parents who are involved in the Roseland Adolescent Parent Program;
• children (age 13 and younger) who are part of the PYD (Positive Youth Development) program at our sharing parish, Ascension-St. Susanna;
• men and women who are helped through Catholic Charities shelters.

There are untold numbers of children throughout our country that have never known the comfort of being tucked into bed in new pajamas with a bedtime story.

We, at St. Juliana School, have joined together with
Classroom Cares and Scholastic Books to make a difference.

This Friday, November 18th, is our all-school KICK-OFF to launch our Advent Outreach Program … the Pajama Project! As such, the students will be allowed to wear pajama/sweat pants with a t-shirt/sweatshirt, and shoes (no slippers).
Please note our uniform policy in that all apparel must be appropriate.
More detailed information will be posted on Friday in addition to a letter that will be sent home to parents.

Thank you, in advance, for your help!

Well, Sara amazed us with her dance performance. You can certainly tell that she has been taking dance since she was three years old. Enjoy the video. Perhaps some day we will see her in the Joffrey Ballet Company. One never knows! What a beautiful performance, Sara!

Veteran's Day

Today we watched a tribute to our troops and wrote letters to two veterans, one from WWII and one from Viet Nam. See if you can see the beautiful job one third grade class did with pictures and music.

Jean-Luc's Talent

Jean-Luc told us about the martial art, Tae kwon do, which uses the foot and hand to defend oneself. He said that the sport originated in South Korea and now many students study it in the USA. Jean-Luc is a green belt, and has gone from white up to green by passing tests. He demonstrated some of the kicks and hand positions. Sounds like he has learned a great deal! Keep up the great job!
