Since supply drop-off day, I have come across some items that are unmarked. I have two art shirts, one dark gray and the other a Cubs t-shirt with no name on them. I also have two pairs of headphones without a name. Please let me know if you think any of these items may be yours. I also have some cloth bags that contained supplies and are now empty, if you would like them back please let me know and I can send them home with your child.

I am also still missing some headphones and art shirts. We will be visiting the lab this Friday and everyone will need their own headphones to participate. Please send them in as soon as possible.

Wednesday, September 7th is Back-to-School Night. Please join us for a night of learning about what the school year holds for your child. We will begin at 7pm in the gym, then you will move on to the classrooms for additional information.

Please be sure to remind your child whether or not they should be taking milk at lunch, and if so, what kind.

Please also remember that you should not walk your child to their classroom in the morning like you did in pre-school. Please say your goodbyes at the door and let your child walk to their classroom on their own.

All full day students need to bring a snack with a drink to school for afternoon snack time.

We are starting off learning about the letters with "C". Please be sure to practice the hard "c" sound (as in "cat") with your child, as well as practicing how to write both the capital and lowercase form.

Our first chapter in math is all about position words (ex: top, middle, bottom). Please be sure to take a look at the math sheets coming home that we have worked on in class and reinforce these concepts at home.

This morning it was wonderful to meet all of our new Kindergarten friends! Thank you to everyone for stopping by and introducing yourselves.

Please note that we have been asked to move our meeting place for tomorrow, Wednesday the 24th and Thursday the 25th to the parking lot with the rest of the school. Please do not go to the office doors, but to the parking lot and look for your teacher. This is to make things easier for parents that have multiple children. Beginning Friday the 25th, students will walk in the building on their own.

Please also note that the dates on the welcome sheet you received this morning are all one day off. This means the schedule is as follows:

-Wednesday, August 24th, dismissal is at 11:30am
-Thursday, August 25th, dismissal is at 2:00pm
-Friday, August 26th, dismissal is at 2:50pm

Dismissal is always at the main office door on Osceola.
