Preschool News!

In honor of Mother's Day you are welcomed to come into school with your child on May 9th. The children have a surprise they would like to share with you. It will only take a few minutes.


This week we our "Zipping" through the letter Z to go along with our animal theme. The children will act out The Three Little Pigs, read the story "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" by Laura Numeroff and taste pancakes along with making a Pig and Henny Penny.


Reminder: Please remember to turn in your child's permission form for the field trip by May 9th.

Signs of Spring!

The children took a walk this week looking for signs of Spring and planted grass heads for the letter S. Please have your child bring a silly toy for show and tell and wear a sports shirt for Ms. S on Friday, April 11th.

Hippity Hoppity - Easter's On It's Way!!!

The children had an egg-cellent time finding their Easter baskets and playing some fun games. Wishing you a happy and blessed Easter.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Mr. McAndrew (Deaglan's dad) came into the classroom and played the bagpipes for us along with Francesca's sister and her friend Grace taught the children a few Irish steps!

When Irish Eyes Are Smiling!

We have been busy decorating for St. Patrick's Day and Easter. We have made bunnies, potato heads, rainbows, and even painted paper eggs with condensed milk!


On St. Patrick's Day some of the older children will come and teach us how to do the "Irish Jig" along with tasting Irish soda bread. Please have your child wear green on Monday, March 17th.


We will be celebrating St. Joseph's Day on Wednesday, March 19th. We ask that the children wear the color red on that day. We have some fun activities planned for our celebration. For snack the children will be enjoying some pizza bread. Yummy!


It was great seeing so many of you last week at the volunteer dinner. Thank you so much for all that you do for the school and the preschool program.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

March 3rd is Dr. Seuss' birthday. To celebrate his birthday the children will make Cat in the Hat, graph their favorite Dr. Seuss book and make a class book about rhyming.


We have started decorating the room for St. Patrick's Day. We made Irish puppies, potato heads, leprechaun hats and will paint a rainbow with watercolors.


During Lent the children have been working hard on their Lenten promises and getting their paper egg in our basket. We will be making a class book on how we can be more like Jesus.


Reminder: No school on Friday, February 29th. (Teacher Institute Day)
