This week we celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2nd. The children made Cat In The Hat, graphed their favorite Dr. Seuss book and watched a Dr. Seuss movie. We even did some fun activities with rhyming. The children made a hat from Cat In The Hat for our cooking activity. Yummy!

For the letter T the children made ties and we even had Nikki's aunt who is a Dental Hygienist come into the classroom to talk to us about taking care of our teeth.

The children received Ashes today from Fr. Steve to help the children be more like Jesus during this Lenton season.

A Virtus training session is scheduled for Saint Juliana Parish and School volunteers on Thursday, March 4, at 7:00 P.M. in the school hall. Please register at www.virtusonline.org. Click on registration.

On February 17th the children will receive ashes for Ash Wednesday. During Lent we will be discussing how to be more like Jesus. The children will be making stained glass crosses for our window.

February is Dental Health Month. We will be discussing dental health practices: brushing, limited sugar drinks and snacks. We have a special guest visiting us this week to talk about dental health. Their dental calendars were sent home today. Please have your child place a sticker every time they brush on their calendar. Mrs. “T” will be introduced; she talks about tall teeth and how to keep them healthy. We will focus on what we can do to remain healthy: eating good foods, hand washing, exercise, sleep, and of course those necessary visits to the doctor for preventive immunizations.

We are working on the letter V. We will be talking about nutrition and eating healthy food. We will also be getting ready for our Valentine’s Party! Please have your child wear red or pink for our Valentine’s Party on Friday February 12th. Please have your child sign his/her name on their cards, but do not have them address them. We have 13 children in the classroom.Thank you for sending in the items to help us with our party. I really appreciate it!


In honor of Presidents’ Day we will be talking about how our Presidents are important to us and our country. We are making George Washington and Flag Hearts to help us celebrate our Presidents.


The week of February 19th, we will be working on the letter T. We will be talking about our teeth and good dental health.


In the Computer Lab, we went on starfall.com to help us with our letter sounds. The children may go on this website at home for more learning fun!
