In Religion we are talking about forgiveness, and how God always forgives us if we are sorry.
Don't forget the spelling test is on Thursday. Keep practicing those words!
The assessment test will be on Friday. On the same day, we will be having a "camp-in". The children may come out-of-uniform and bring a sleeping bag or blanket, a stuffed animal, and a flashlight if they like.
Please continue to practice the Dolch words (the giraffe booklet). Each child should know what list they are on.
In Math, we are learning about greater than and less than. Please have your child complete the two math sheets for homework tonight.
In Science, we have begun our Arctic animal unit. We will be learning about penguins, polar bears, and snowy owls in the next few weeks.
In Social Studies, we will be talking about Martin Luther King and the good things he did.
We are also getting ready for the 100th day of school. In the folder is a note about our class goal of reading 100 books by the first week of February. The letter explains this goal and provides a sheet for you to record the book your child reads. Please cut just the slip from the paper every time your child reads a book and sign it. When your child brings the slip to school, they will put their name on a star to hang in the hall. I expect each child to read at least 5 books by then. It can be any book they choose.
Have a great night!
