Building Peace Project

For the month of October we have been focusing on Smart Thinking. The students learned about IQ (Intelligence Quotent) and EQ (Emotional Quotent). The older students gave themselves a score out of 10 for IQ and EQ. Using these scores we plugged them in to the formula for success: Success = IQxEQ   The secret to raising your success is improving your EQ.

Here are a few questions you can talk to your kids about:

How would you rate yourself in the IQ and EQ scales?

In which areas do you most want to improve?

How do you live with a positive attitude?

What are ways you can listen and talk more affectively?

St. Juliana School is sponsoring a Parent Night on Thursday, September 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the Gym.

Mr. Bernabei has been working with St. Juliana faculty and staff developing our Building Peace Project, helping all of us to discover the power of choice.

Each student will be getting a Building Peace Project t-shirt. The forms are going out on Monday. Please have them turned no later than Thursday to your homeroom teacher.

The 7th grade wrote goals for the school year. They have one goal on each finger reaching up towards our star qualities.

Wednesday will be the first day of our Building Peace Project. The Building Peace project is a program that will help students get the tools they need to be successful in life. September's theme is TLC. TLC stand for Think, Learn, and Communicate. Students will learn about the 80/20 rule and star qualities.
