You'll notice that your fourth grader took home (or should have taken home) their flash cards we've been working on (to 12). If they are not finished, they should have 6-12 multiplication cards done. I've found two web sites to play online, www.mathblaster.com and multiplication.com. I've found that children enjoy playing against the clock and other figures much more than answering flash cards. Please look at these sights and see if this might be something you'd like your child to work on. Fourth graders should bring their cards back to school on Monday.

Thanks to all who came out to help and cheer us on at Trackathon today! It was chilly but our 5th graders persevered and ran their hearts out. Thank you Mrs. Gatta for the treats!

Ask your fourth graders how we tried to collect 1,000,000 words today. By estimating and rounding, multiplying and searching, we collected close to 200,000 in the past two days.

Friday folders went home today. Please sign your child's Science quiz, Spelling test, and any worksheet marked "parent signature" as well as the folder and return on Monday.

Have a great weekend. Remember pictures on Wednesday and Trackathon on Thursday. Go Bears!
