We survived day one of Terra Novas! It really went well; please ask your child about it. Also, please make sure to sign BOTH tests and Friday folders over the weekend. Many children are bringing back one or the other signed, but not both. It is their responsibility to let you know which to do; they will really need this skill next year.
Also, Volunteer Dinner invitations went home today. Please take a moment to read them and respond. You are very valuable to us; you may not think you do much, but you are the lifeblood of our school. Hope to see you there!

Next week the fifth graders will be taking Terra Nova tests, so fourth grade will not see their fifth grade teachers.
Please make sure your child is well-rested and has a good morning routine. Snacks will be allowed, but please limit these to crackers, pretzels, cereal, or granola bars. Drinks will not be needed, since we will take water and bathroom breaks. We will test every morning and on Wednesday afternoon. This might be a good time to work on the D.A.R.E. posters and read, since there won't be any homework!

Please talk to your child about the D.A.R.E. poster due March 9th. It should be an anti-drug poster which can be about one or many drugs. Students may draw, paint, color, or use magazine pictures or cutouts to illustrate. Poster should be the type purchased at Target or Walgreen's, not the large display board or small half-posters. The two best will be represented at graduation.
