The St. Juliana PreCana Marriage Preparation program has been helping to prepare engaged couples for marriage for over 20 years. The program was begun to provide more opportunities for marriage preparation to the engaged couples in our parish and community. An engaged couple marrying in the Catholic Church is required to attend one of the approved marriage preparation courses offered through the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Our parish is home to a very active St. Vincent de Paul Society, whose volunteer members come together regularly to enhance their personal spiritual growth and development. An outgrowth of this spirituality is the acting out of their faith commitment to serve others, including the needy of our immediate community, the greater Chicago community and the Church throughout Chicago.

Our Health Services Coordinator, Cindy Brennan, is committed to wellness and healing ministries of our parish. She facilitates many programs, including blood pressure and other health screening, blood drive, flu shots, and American Red Cross baby-sitting training. Cindy was instrumental in obtaining portable automatic external defibrillator (AED) equipment located in our church and school, and provides training on their use.

The Elizabeth Ministry responds to the needs of women during their childbearing years, by offering like-to-like ministry through personal visits and gatherings. It is an outreach in special times of motherhood, by bringing together women who share a similar experience. As participants, women are able to support, encourage and assist one another during this unique time in their lives.
