Our Parish
Journey of Faith

The Archdiocese of Chicago sponsored an annotated pictorial history of the parishes of Chicago. The book contains two main sections: approximately one-third is dedicated to the rich history of the Archdiocese of Chicago from the early years as a mission church to its current status as one of the largest Catholic dioceses in the world. The second section introduces each parish in the city of Chicago and surburbs encompassed by the archdiocese, His Eminence, Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I., Archbishop of Chicago provides a preface to the book.

An iTunes/iPad app is also available, featuring over 1,000 full-color photographs showcasing the history and beauty of the parishes of the Archdiocese of Chicago. Search for Archdiocese of Chicago Churches in iTunes; proceeds benefit the Cardinal's Scholarship Fund.

During certain holiday seasons the advance notice requirement may be as great as one month, so please plan accordingly. Preferred format is by email, with attached Microsoft Word or PDF document. Images should be  camera-ready. Our bulletin format is a mix of black-and-white and color pages; we do try to feature photographs on color pages but due to space limitations that may not be possible during any given week.
