Our student council presents a unique opportunity for students in grades four and above to learn organization, leadership and teamwork skills and prepares them for later student government positions. Under adult supervision, the student council comes up with activity ideas, votes on the ones it will implement, plans all aspects of the activity and then run the activity.

Scholastic Quiz Bowls
Our junior high students participate in several scholastic competitions, often called academic bowls, sponsored by area high schools, including Fenwick, Gordon Tech, Notre Dame, Loyola Academy, Trinity, St. Ignatius and St. Patrick. At these tournaments our student teams compete against other Catholic schools on a variety of academic subjects, as well as sports, current events and popular culture.

The SJS Athletic Association attempts to bring to the students of St. Juliana School a sports-related program in addition to their regular physical education classes. The Athletic Association coordinates and supervises school-affiliated and intramural functions such as: basketball, volleyball, football, softball, cheerleading and floor hockey and publishes a information about its activities on its blog.

We have a remarkable community of alumni, many of whom live in the area. In fact, nearly 20% of our students are children of alumni, and we even have third generation of future alumni enrolled! Several of our teachers are alumni, and sent their children here as well.

The St. Juliana Fine Arts Association is dedicated to promoting and maintaining the fine arts, which include drawing, painting, computer-generated, and other forms of crafted arts, as well the performing arts including dance, theater, oral/visual communication and interpretation, and music (both secular and sacred, instrumental and vocal). Extracurricular opportunities for students include Drama Club, Glee Club, Young Rembrandts and the very popular annual spring musical.
