Coffee, Tea & Thee

What exactly is Coffee, Tea & Thee?

Parish Organizations

Our parish has many ministries, programs and activities to offer. The list below provides background and contact information for our various organizations and groups. You may also download the entire Parish Organization Directory.

Besides this web site, we're everywhere! Here are all the great ways to stay connected.

Saint Juliana Parish

Parish NewsletterAn email newsletter that features current parish-wide events, including church, school, religious education and social groups. Sent to subscribers 3-4 times per month. Of interest to current and former parishioners, school and CCD families, community groups (Edison Park, Niles, Park Ridge,) and neighbors.
Also, the Gala Gazette, to get the latest news about our annual fundraiser to benefit the church and school.
Men's Club

This group is primarily a social organization and it also enjoys contributing to parish causes and supplying volunteers for parish needs and events. Our primary goal is to bring together in a spirit of community the men of the parish, with all their various occupations and age groups. The club meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:30 PM in the school hall. No invitation necessary -- just show up and enjoy food, beverages and great company!

Secular Franciscan Order

This group of lay volunteers comes together to promote living the gospel much in the way St. Francis did. Members attend mass daily when possible and continuously look for ways to serve God's poor throughout the world. Through monthly meetings decisions are made how to best raise funds and reach those who need it most. Please contact this group through the parish office (773.631.4127).

Joyful Now
This group is open to any widow or widower of our parish. Our monthly gatherings include socializing, guest speakers, and great discussions. Although we share the common ground of having lost a spouse, we come together with a joyful spirit to celebrate life. Please contact Joyce Browne for more information.
Friendship Club

This lively club ministers to the Saint Juliana seniors community (age 50 +). Members of the Friendship Club have gone beyond the years of having children in school, however, our grade school exists because of their support and dedication. A few of these members were actually students here when St. Juliana School first opened its doors so many years ago.

Our senior generation financed St. Juliana while their children were growing up and because of their involvement in the past along with the support of our present parishioners, we have a parish and school second to none.

It is because of this component that we are the Christian community that we profess today in 2009. Some of our Friendship Club members still remain active in parish ministry. They are Eucharistic ministers, ushers, ministers of care and members of our Men's Club.

Membership is open to parishioners age 50 and older. Meetings are held one Thursday per month at 1:30 PM in the Parish Center. Contact Joyce Browne for information about joining this young-at-heart group.

Recovery Resources

Our Parish Center is home to weekly meetings of groups focused on supporting men and women who share the common goal of facing and recovering from substance addictions or experiences of abuse. The meetings are open to all individuals, whether or not they belong to St. Juliana Parish or are of the Catholic faith.
