Thanks to generous donations from the Mothers' Club ($10,000) and the Blacktop Ball Fund-a-Cause ($31,000), we were able to fund the renovation of two classrooms into a new science lab and instructional space! Demolition began in the summer of 2009 with the abatement and replacement of old flooring, and the finishing touch was the installation of room-darkening window treatments over Christmas Break 2009. In between, much work was done as you can see in the Before/After gallery photos.

Purchases included a state-of-the-art SMART Board system and an instructor's station equipped with electrical, water and natural gas lines. Adjustable-height lab stools were also purchased to complement our newly-refurbished lab tables for student seating.

As our students anxiously await the hatching of chicks in our new incubator, our fundraising efforts continue as we work to acquire additional scientific furnishings and equipment included on our Wish List.
