June Two

Fortnight for Freedom

The Fortnight for Freedom begins today and runs through July 4. It is a time to  appreciate and defend our right to religious freedom as citizens of the United States, through prayer, reflection and discernment.

Father Steve will be speaking at all masses this weekend (June 23/24) regarding the Fortnight for Freedom here at St. Juliana Parish. Our bulletins this weekend and next will feature material on the effort to defend our religious liberty, and many online resources exist as well.

The Catholic Conference of Illinois is launching the Illinois Catholic Advocacy Network (I-CAN) in concert with the Fortnight for Freedom. Join I-CAN online or via enrollment cards you'll find in our pews on June 24 and July 1, to receive updates regarding state and federal issues affecting the Church.

Business Office Hours Change

Effective June 17, the parish business office at 7200 N. Osceola Avenue will not be open on Sundays. We are always looking to manage our resources most efficiently and as very few calls and visitors come in on Sundays it is no longer cost-effective to remain open.

Our other business hours will not change:

Monday and Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Tuesday through Thursday: 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Saturday: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

School Office Summer Hours

The school office is now closed for the summer. The administrative staff will be checking phone messages, emails and mail on a weekly basis. You may always drop off forms, payments and other correspondence at the parish office, 7200 N. Osceola Avenue, as well as obtain registration forms and basic information about the school.

Vacation Bible School

This year's theme is Sky - For God all Things are Possible, and preparations are well under way!

Sky is filled with incredible experiences for children including team-building games, cool faith songs and tasty treats, all designed to help faith flow into their daily lives.

Sky is open to children ages 4 to 9 and will take place in the mornings during the week of July 23-27, in the Ahearn Activity Center. Please register by July 13 to ensure a spot; the registration form is available online and in our June 10 bulletin. Contact Joyce Browne in the parish office (773.631.4127) for more information.
