Spiritual Bouquets

Spiritual Bouquets for Fathers' Day are now available from the parish office and online at givecentral.org. These are a beautiful, prayerful way to send loving thoughts to your father, or paternal presence in your life.

A Spiritual Bouquet for Dad begins with intentions at all masses on Fathers' Day, June 17, and continues with once-weekly mass intentions until the week prior to Fathers' Day 2013. Most appropriate for living parents, the suggested donation is $10; a beautiful card is provided.

Tots & Company

Our Moms and Tots group has grown to include dads, grandparents and caregivers so we've changed our name to Tots & Company!

Anyone who is home watching young children is welcome to join the group. The tots have fun, while the adults gather in good company.

This month our Tots & Company group will meet on Thursday, May 17 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the school extended care room (room 12). Ring the extended care doorbell which is located at the northwest door on Osceola Ave. Coffee and … will be provided.

Scout Mass & May Crowning

Our St. Juliana scout troops (boys and girls) will celebrate May Crowning during their Scout Mass at 9:00 AM on Sunday, May 20. Our second grade First Communicants will wear their Communion attire for this beautiful tradition. 

Vacation Bible School

This year's theme is Sky - For God all Things are Possible, and preparations are well under way! 

Sky is filled with incredible experiences for children including team-building games, cool faith songs and tasty treats, all designed to help faith flow into their daily lives.

Sky is open to children ages 4 to 9 and will take place in the mornings during the week of July 23-27, in the Ahearn Activity Center. Contact Joyce Browne in the parish office (773.631.4127) for more information.

Domestic Violence in our Neighborhood

It's a fact that one in every four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime. Please join us at a multi-parish meeting at St. Mary of the Woods Parish, to help develop strategies to fight the many kinds of domestic violence that live in every neighborhood: physical, verbal, sexual, psychological and economic.  

Rev. Chuck Dahm is the director of the Domestic Violence Outreach with the Archdiocese of Chicago. Father Chuck will be facilitating the meeting at the SMOW parish hall at 7033 N. Moselle Avenue on Tuesday, May 22 at 7:30 PM. Contact Marcia Mahoney  (773.763.0206) to register for this free event.

St. Vincent de Paul 

An collection to benefit our SVDP society will take place at all masses this weekend, May 19/20. Your generosity is greatly appreciated, and helps this dedicated group serve the needy of our area. You may also donate to this cause online at givecentral.org.
