Happy New Year!
Our regular Sunday mass schedule is in effect for Saturday, December 31 (5:00 PM) and Sunday, January 1, (7:30, 9:00, 10:30 AM and 12:00 noon.)
The parish business office will be closed on Sunday, January 1, and Monday, January 2, in observance of the official New Year's holiday. Normal office hours resume on Tuesday, January 3.
First Saturday Devotions
All are invited to join us for rosary devotions to Our Lady of Fatima for world peace. We gather in church at 8:00 AM on the first Saturday of each month. Mass follows at 8:30 AM.
Bags Tournament
If you haven't been participated in this great night of fun and games sponsored by our SJS Mothers' Club, be sure to give it a try this year! We'll be in the Ahearn Activity Center on Saturday, January 21, from 6:00 PM until 12:00 midnight.
Teams are drawn randomly; individual ticket price of $30 includes tournament participation, food and one free drink. Space is limited, so act quickly! Registration forms are available in the school office or by emailing mbrowne805@yahoo.com or jkdhad30@sbcglobal.net. If you miss the team registration but still want to cheer on your friends, non-player ticket prices are $10.
Bingo!
If a more sedentary night of fun and games is to your liking, why not join us on Friday nights for Bingo? Games are played in both the school hall and the Ahearn Activity Center, and more than $5,000 in bingo and raffle prizes are awarded each session!
Doors open at 4:30 and the first game begins at 6:40. There's a full kitchen with delicious weekly specials on the menu.
Hope to see you there!
Contributions for 2011
In order to be posted to your 2011 contribution statement, all eligible donations must reach the parish office by Friday, January 13, and be clearly marked as a 2011 donation.
Otherwise, contributions received as of January 1 and later will be posted to 2012. Contribution statements will be mailed by January 31, 2012, to all parishioners who made donations during 2011.
SJS Open House
Mark your calendars for our annual Open House: Sunday, January 29. The event begins with a family mass in church at 12:00 noon, followed with festivities and exhibits in the school from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
Do you have neighbors or friends with young children, or know of a family planning to relocate to our community in the coming months? Be sure to invite them!
