Saint Juliana Parish is here to help people experience Jesus.
We believe when you experience Jesus, you become the best version of yourself. You experience happiness. Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome to our Catholic parish.
Letters From A Pastor to His People May 5, 2019
Saint Peters transformation is astounding. He goes from denying Christ during the Passion in the courtyard of the Sanhedrin to proclaiming Christ without fear in that same locale after Pentecost. That boldness is seen in our first reading from Acts of the Apostles.
Peter and the apostles had been warned not to preach in Jerusalem. They saw what the Jewish leaders did to Jesus when Jesus did the same thingthey had him crucified. But Peter is a different man now. He does not back down, even when threatened. We must obey God rather than men, he says.
On the first and third Sunday of every month during the 1100am Mass we offer Family Mass. †Join us on May 5th @ 1100am for this celebratory way for family members at every age to participate in prayer and worship together.
Our Teen Ministry for current high school students meets for Mass at 500pm on the second Sunday of every month and then heads to the Ahearn Activity Center for prayerful conversation, pizza provided by Holts, and open gym. Our next meeting is Sunday, May 5 at 5pm. This is a great chance to reconnect with those SJS classmates you havent seen in a while or meet new friends. Bring friends and spread the word!
Each week on Tuesday evening we offer a onehour talk about a different theological topic. The presenter is our pastor, Father James Wallace, and we gather in the chapel, located in the ministry center building.
We hope youll find the talks interesting and helpful in your faith formation. The talks are not interdependent of each other, so feel free to join us when you can. All are welcome!
Please join us May 7th @ 700pm for a presentation on Mary.
Members of the SVDP Society will be collecting nonperishable items before and after all the Masses May 4th and 5th . Please look for us, and consider helping those who are less fortunate. Monetary donations are also welcomed. Please make checks payable to St. Vincent DePaul. Your support is much appreciated!
Missionary Spirit Team
Our team will be distributing bags and menus after all masses this weekend May 4th and 5th for Uncle Petes Ministry. Please fill the bags and return them to the school parking lot this Tuesday, May 7th, from 600 to 845am. The sack lunches are then delivered to a variety of food pantries and meal distribution agencies and is an excellent way to help feed the hungry in our city. Decorating the bags with inspirational messages or seasonal artwork surely lifts the spirits of those receiving them! As always, thank you for your generosity to Uncle Petes Ministry.
Please join us for our next meeting THIS WEEK Thursday, May 9th at 100pm in the parish center. We are hosting a POT LUCK LUNCHEON! Please bring a side dish or dessert to share (OR a monetary donation). Friendship Club will provide sandwiches and beverages!
On Monday, May 6 at 1000am start your week with friendly conversation and treats. H2H meets monthly and is open to all parishioners (men, women, all ages) who have experienced any loss (spouse, family member, friend). New members are always welcome!
