Saint Juliana Parish is here to help people experience Jesus. We believe when you experience Jesus, you become the best version of yourself. You experience happiness. Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome to our Catholic parish.
Sunday School is open to all kids age 3-6 during the 9:30am family liturgy. There's no cost; just bring your children to the Ahearn Center doors across from church prior to Mass and retrieve them afterwards.
To kick off this Sunday's Teen Ministry gathering, the Notre Dame/Resurrection Concert Choir will lead us in song for the 5pm Mass. All high schoolers are invited to join us for Mass, followed by pizza and open gym afterwards.
The 9:30 Mass is also our Family Mass, Scout Mass and Family Choir Mass; best arrive early for premium seating!
Street Closure Alert
We've been notified by Alderman Napolitano's office that the City of Chicago will be resurfacing both Osceola and Oketo Avenues from Touhy to Chase in May. Sidewalk repairs and new ADA ramps at crosswalks are also forthcoming. Things may be a little inconvenient during the short-term project but the end results will be well worth it! Signs will be posted at least 48 hours in advance. Thanks for your understanding.
Uncle Pete's Week
The Missionary Spirit Team's gearing up for the Uncle Pete's Sack Lunch effort this weekend. Pick up an empty sack (or two) at Mass on Saturday or Sunday and return the lunch-filled sack to the parking lot on Tuesday, April 17 from 6-8:45am. The lunches are distributed to the less fortunate of Chicago through the efforts of several community organizations.
This month, the Boy Scouts and CCD are partnering to fill 100 bags. Way to go, kids!
Our current book selection for the 3 Cs in Conversation group is 33 Days to Morning Glory. We invite you to pick up your complimentary copy from the bookstand in the church vestibule, and plan to join us for the discussion on April 22 in church.
Did you see familiar faces on ABC-7 news? SJS students donned hockey jerseys to raise funds for grieving and devastated families of the Humboldt Broncos members who lost their lives or were injured in last week's tragic accident. All proceeds will be donated to the team's GoFundMe page for the families. If you want to add to our students' donation, you may drop off a check, payable to St. Juliana Parish and to the attention of Broncos, at the parish office and we'll include it with ours.
