Saint Juliana Parish is here to help people experience Jesus. We believe when you experience Jesus, you become the best version of yourself. You experience happiness. Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome to our Catholic parish.
Friday, February 2 is a "First Friday," which means the church will be open from 9am to 9pm for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Stop in and spend some quiet time in the presence of our Lord.
Heads up for Lent: The church will be open for Adoration from 9-9 every Friday during Lent, with Stations of the Cross following the 8:30am Mass and again at 6pm.
You've heard of "pack the gym?" Let's pack the church! Join us in church this Sunday (February 4) at 9:30am for our family liturgy. Families of 5th grade SJS and RE students are our hosts this month.
At this weekend's Masses we'll hear a message from Cardinal Cupich as the Annual Catholic Appeal officially begins. The ACA campaign directly impacts the lives of thousands in the Chicago area. Our own 2018 parish goal is $53,000 and with your help we know we'll again exceed that, bringing additional funds directly back to our parish.
Join Fr. James in church Sunday, February 4 from 3:30 to 4:30 for our next session of coffee, contemplation and conversation. He'll ask us, "Who is Jesus to you?" and he promises to end the discussion in time for everyone to catch the Super Bowl kick-off.
The rumors are true—the Gala is back! The grand affair to benefit our parish returns on September 15, 2018 to the Rosemont Convention Center. More information will be coming soon about this spectacular event you won't want to miss, so save the date and keep watching for #SJGala news.
A reminder that this weekend is our SOUPer Bowl Food Drive, and our Scouts wrap up their collection of brand new socks for distribution to the needy. Our parishioners' generosity is legendary and always appreciated!
Tots & Company Alert
School is not in session February 2 and February 9 so Tots & Company will be on a two-week hiatus. We'll start again on Friday, February 16. If your child will be attending SJS this activity is a great way to get acclimated and meet other parents and kids. Or even if you're still thinking of enrolling—stop in the Ahearn Center anytime from 8:15 to 10am!
The craic is back! Get your green on with us in the Ahearn Center on Saturday, February 24 from 6pm to midnight. Tickets available now at GiveCentral and the parish office. $50 includes full buffet dinner (corned beef, chicken, sides and dessert,) open bar (beer/wine/pop) plus hours of Irish-American entertainment for shakin' your shillelagh.
