A Torah law to keep?
A law for the beards.
Rules are necessary but they can also be a form of clutter. Jesus did a clean sweep of the Torah, distilling its 600-plus laws down to just two. Do you know those two rules? #FrJames provides some cleanliness and clarity in his letter this week.

Feast of All Saints
All Saints Day masses are at 7 and 8L45am and 7pm in church.
Wednesday, November 1 is a holy day of obligation in our tradition, a time when we honor "all the saints, known and unknown." Masses will be in church at 7 and 8:30am, and 7pm.

Students from SJS will be in attendance at 8:30am and Religious Ed at 7pm. Parents, please join us!
Mass of Remembrance
All Souls Day Mass of Remembrance is Thursday, November 2 at 7pm
On Thursday, November 2 we'll observe All Souls Day with a community Mass of Remembrance at 7pm in church. All are welcome to honor the memory of those who departed our earthly world during the past 12 months and you're welcome to bring a photo or memento to place on the rail during Mass. There will be a book in the back of church into which you may enter the names of loved ones who have passed away.
First Friday Adoration
Adoration in church on Fridays from 9am to 9pm.
Beginning November 3, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be offered in church from 9am to 9pm on the first Friday of every month. Please stop in to pray, or sign up for a time slot if you're able so that Our Lord is never alone. The reservation book is in the lobby of the Ministry Center.
Mum's the Final Word
Boy Scouts will be planting Monday, October 30
Our Boy Scout troop will be planting donated bulbs and hardy mums on the evening of Monday, October 30. There's still time to donate—the bulb collection boxes are in church and the parish office, and mums may be brought to the parish office between today and Monday. Thank you for contributing to this project to enhance the appearance of our campus, and thanks to the Scouts and their green thumbs!
