13th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Sunday’s readings speak to us about the reward that God gives to those who welcome his disciples and prophets. A family from Shunem gets a reward for being hospitable to the prophet Elisha. Saint Paul tells us that the biggest recompense is the fullness of life that the Risen Christ offers to us. Meanwhile, Jesus speaks about a twofold reward: one for those who are messengers of the Good News, and another for those who welcome them for being his disciples.
The parish and school offices will be closed on Monday, July 3 and Tuesday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Have a safe and blessed holiday!
Welcome, Mrs. Marshall!
On July 1 Mrs. Margie Marshall officially begins her role as principal of Saint Juliana School. We're excited to have her join our staff and looking forward to the start of a new school year. Tip: During the summer the school office is open to walk-ins on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to noon, and by appointment via call or email.
If you haven't yet reserved your spot for the Men's Club golf outing on August 19, may we politely remind you to get on the stick? It's filling quickly and there are no Mulligans once we're sold out. Online reservations and ticket purchase make this an easy tap.
Construction of the Trojan Trail is beginning! The engraved bricks have arrived and you will soon be able to see them in person and underfoot at the north side of the main entry to the church. Brick sales for this first phase of the Trail have closed but we do plan to make periodic additions in the future.
