Lenten Retreat
The Missionary Spirit Team is hosting a joint retreat with our RMC sister parishes (Queen of All Saints and St. Mary of the Woods) on Saturday, April 1 from 9am to 3pm. Father James Wallace will guide participants through The Holy Spirit on Display in the Saints at Marytown Retreat Center in Libertyville. Participants should register and pay $12 to cover the cost of lunch in advance, and make their own transportation arrangements.

Irish Family Mass
Prayer from the breastplate of St. Patrick
Our 28th annual Mass in honor of St. Patrick is Tuesday, March 14 at 7pm; a musical prelude begins at 6:30pm. If you've not ever attended this annual tradition you really should—it's a very beautiful and special service. Fellowship and homemade refreshments follow afterwards in the Ahearn Activity Center. Do you have to be Irish? Absolutely not! All are encouraged to join us!

How's your Lent going?
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in church on Fridays during Lent, from 9am-5:30pm
Now that we are well on our way toward the most glorious day of our spiritual year, how are you feeling about your Lenten works? If you're looking to strengthen your resolve or try something especially prayerful, consider joining us in church on Fridays for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 9:00am to 5:30pm. Stations of the Cross take place immediately following the 8:30am Mass and again at 5:30pm.
Tip: If you work and can't get away, St. Mary of the Woods Parish invites you to join them on Fridays for Soup/Salad and Stations of the Cross, beginning at 6pm.

Men's Club meeting on March 13
Men's Club Meeting
All men are invited to our annual meeting honoring St. Patrick and St. Joseph, on March 13 at 7:30pm in the school hall. You-know-what and beverages will be served, and we'll talk about our upcoming Final Four event on April 1.
The St. Patrick's Party raised more than $5,000 for the parish!
Green But Not Lean
Preliminary reports show $5,000 was raised by our February party, not including $437 in the bartenders' tip jar that was shared with Mercy Home for Boys and Girls! Thanks to all who ran, volunteered and enjoyed this great night.

Lenten Door Challenge
SJS students decorated their classroom doors for our "Let Your Light Shine" contest. Photos are on Facebook and the door with the most "likes" will earn a pizza party for the room. You don't have to log in to enjoy the photos so please check them out!

We are looking for new members for our school advisory board. Any registered parishioner—with or without children—with a desire to lend their talents for the betterment of our school is invited to learn more and apply. The term is up to three years in length and will begin in June 2017. With a new principal soon to be hired, this is a great time to become involved!
