Ash Wednesday is less than a week away, on March 1. Ashes will be distributed during masses at 7 and 8:30am, and 7pm.A prayer service with distribution of ashes will be offered at 1:15pm. All services take place in church; SJS students will be in attendance at 8:30am and CCD at 7pm.
Father James will be burning old palms into ashes on February 28 at 9am in our parking lot; there are collection boxes in the back of church if you'd like to contribute your palms.
A reminder that all daily Masses (7 and 8:30am) will take place in church for the duration of Lent.
Friday Adoration & Stations
Beginning March 3 and on every Friday during Lent the church will be open and the Most Blessed Sacrament exposed for adoration from 9am until Benediction at 5:30pm; Stations of the Cross will follow immediately afterwards. So that our Lord will not be left unaccompanied at any point during the day, we're inviting parishioners to sign up for 30-minute shifts to pray with our Lord during Lent. The sign-up sheet is in the back of church.
Did you know that 90 cents of every dollar raised for the Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) goes directly to the critical work of the schools, parishes, agencies and ministries of the Archdiocese of Chicago? Not many charities operate that efficiently, and locally. Our parish is entrusted with raising $53,000 toward the ACA; if you have donated or pledged already, thank you. If not, please consider using these convenient links. Be sure to select "St Juliana" from the parish list so your donation is credited toward our ACA goal. (Hint: We've a long way to go and a short time to get there.) As in the past, all ACA donations in excess of goal are returned to the parish; we'll add them to our To Teach Who Christ Is account.
Parents and interested parishioners are invited to share their thoughts for the principal search team with this brief survey.

Proceeds benefit renovation of the courtyard into a beautiful gathering space for all to enjoy.

Bald is Beautiful
It really does grow back—our 2014 team (with Father Laurent) is testament to that. Our St. Juliana St. Baldrick's Team has a winning reputation for earning top dollars for childhood cancer research. If you haven't donated and you'd like to, here's their page.
